Kickoff return chart

[edit]

Is there a reason you removed the table for one of the most important stats Devin Hester has?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 03:32, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a citation that shows all NFL players with four kick return touchdowns entering the season (http://www.nfl.com/history/randf/records/indiv/kickreturns). I have added Hester and Rossum. I do not know if anyone else has reached their fourth career touchdown during the season. What do you feel about that type of source?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 06:53, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just went to nfl.com and found return stats and did the math for each player. E.G., 4 divided by 60 is 6.67% and so on.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 07:14, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

chicago cubs page vs. history of cubs page

[edit]

Listen, I understand exactly what you mean. In theory, the two pages should be seperate, with the history page having more in game, in season detail and with the main page having a summary of the history page plus other areas. However, the old page you reverted to is terrible. Its unorganized and its grammar is pathetic. Frankly a bad read. Im not here to stir the pot or down anyone. Check out the Yankees two pages for better ideas on what I mean on being well done. Frankly, the issue is that the franschise history page is too brief. I propose we re-intall the main page that we (and I personally) worked very hard on and then go about expanding the fran. hist. page to give it the content it deserves. I dont want an edit war but if I am going to get started on this prior to opening day we need to agree. I only say this since I respect your input, but the integrity of the page comes first. I suggest a peer review if nothing else. In any case, have a happy and safe New Year. Wjmummert (talk) 01:56, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dont think the "fran. history" page is that bad. Especially when compared with other MLB team pages. check out Milwaukee and Tampa, they are bad. I think the Yankee page is great, but would take a very long time. Its the goal we should aspire to eventually get to. I like the layout on the Houston Astros page. (note their fran. hist. page is the exact same page)

I will agree that the 2007 season section is too long. However, its a nice story, going worst to first. My suggestion is to re-insert the fran. hist. page to the main page, and then edit down the main page, leaving the outline the same between the two linked articles, while increasing the content on the fran. hist. page. This would be a good start. Wjmummert (talk) 17:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, sorry for the email. I've done wiki's before, just not wikipedia. So I'm still figuring out a bit of the features. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grimace Gib (talkcontribs) 23:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I notice that at User talk:99.141.47.21 you waded in with a level 4 warning and then reported the user to AIV. The warning you gave didn't explain what they were doing wrong, nor is it appropriate to give a level 4 warning without first using levels 1 to 3. Please don't be so heavy-handed in future - go easy on the newbies. Thanks, Waggers (talk) 08:41, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Resident Evil character articles

[edit]

If anything the links you keep adding should be in a external link section! and most of the articles don't have an refs, so don't remove the refs needed tags!  Doktor  Wilhelm  22:58, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They are links to copys of copyrighted material anyways, so I don't think they'd go anywhere, and that is besides the point: there is no need for a special section for links to them! WP:RS and WP:Verify have nothing to do with it!  Doktor  Wilhelm  23:41, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"links are allowed given they directly provide useful information to the article" though the links you are providing are just, all the script for a game, they dod not add to the article in any way shape or form! If you believe they should be there, the only place for them is external links, and even then I'm sure they will be removed as the sript/story of games is copywrited, and it is against wikipedia rules to link out to copyrited material! Also, articles need to have citation and references, so please don't remove the tag/s!

Also, I am not aware of any "general reference section" in most articles (only the ones you have place it in), if the article needs refrenced (as the ones in question do), it is add as a ref tag to the releven item in the article, as I say, there is no reason to link out to the whole script of a game, unless there is good enough need for such an act!  Doktor  Wilhelm  00:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You sate articles with “sources” or “further reading” sections, what you are adding is just external links that contain the games script, or parts there of! Also, as you are linking to GameFAQs, I am sure you have taken into account the fact that most 'guides' on there excludde the use of their content out side of either GameFAQs or other sites?  Doktor  Wilhelm  00:46, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The page you wiki-linked me to has the references in the correct way, used as citations and references for the content of the article! the links in the RE articles do not add anything to the character articles!  Doktor  Wilhelm  01:03, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
if you can state a reason for it's inclussion, then by all means do so ("it's like that on another article" isn't a good enough reason). if you add it back in, I will be happy for it to go to WP:AIN.  Doktor  Wilhelm  01:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And as I have clearly stated, the links do not verify any information within the articles, they are just within their own section, what do they add, besides to show a games story/scrip! Unless you could add the releven refs, there really is no other reason to have them added! Please stop trying to threaten me, wikipedia is not a game guide, and linking out to a collection of game story/scrips that (in several cases, indirectly if at all) feature the characters, is not needed!  Doktor  Wilhelm  01:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am about to revert your edits, please do not just revert any edits, as is the case with Jill Vlentine, I sorted out formattin issues after removing you links, and you reverted this back to a broken page!  Doktor  Wilhelm  01:39, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop using undo to add stuff back, you are also undoing other changes to the articles! Please wait for the Admins to comment on the subject before adding anything back, what you are doing is nothing more than an edit war, and you will be blocked if it continues!  Doktor  Wilhelm  03:45, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: I have added a new section to WP:AIN about your latest 'blind' reverts to the articles in question!  Doktor  Wilhelm  03:58, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While "general references" are, in fact, acceptable (though they should go in the references section, underneath the automatically generated reference list - not in their own section), these particular sites should not be linked to as they are a violation of Capcom's copyrights: See WP:ANI#Reference removal. If you need to use the game as a source, cite the game itself, not an unauthorized copy of the script. —Random832 18:23, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resident Evil UC

[edit]

Where it said that "Raccoons Destruction" had the scenarios of Outbreak series on it... it ACTUALY ment the places from the games (ie. outside J's Bar, Apple Inn...ect)OsirisV (talk) 18:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Erm... i think the IP probably meant on the fact that Res 3 on UC uses maps from the Outbreak Games. OsirisV (talk) 16:34, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And also the RPD is in "Outbreak" formas opposed to "Main Series" form.... the difference is that the RPD has longer hallways and and a far bigger parking lot than seen in to othersOsirisV (talk) 15:30, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Outbreak, Underbelly and Desperate times were used in Res 3 on UC. This means that instead of using the actual LARGE map, they used Oubtreaks map, so in the res 3 segment, they "used the outbreak scenario". (This ment the Map from the outbreak scenario).OsirisV (talk) 15:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Loyola Academy

[edit]

That story is no longer current, and takes up a disproportionate ammount of space on the page for an incident of no real significance. Additionally it has been the policy of the pagemaster to remove edits, that DO have citations, that refute the slanted description of the aforementioned incident. Given these reasons, most notably, that it is no longer a story of significance and had no lasting impact on the school or student body, it no longer deserves such prominent space. Especially given, the pagemasters exclusion of other cited posts. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.66.40 (talk) 05:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rap rock?

[edit]

Linkin Park is not a rap rock band. Linkin Park would have been rap rock if they mixed hip hop and rock but they mixed metal and hip hop that makes them a rap metal band.--Alice Mudgardens (talk) 21:53, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BrianUNM.JPG

Thank you for uploading Image:BrianUNM.JPG. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Linkin Park American Music Awards

Why did you remove the comment here and then add the info on the page later? Timmeh! 00:38, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see it was already noted. Sorry to bother you. Timmeh! 00:40, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, I see you removed the comment and then added the award info on the page later. Is there a reason for this? You shouldn't remove comments just because you already saw them and added the info to the page. Timmeh! 00:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regular disdain

[edit]

3 or 4 dipsh*ts does not make regular disdain. How do we have a page on the Chicago Cubs without talking about what makes the Cubs the Cubs. In case you did not notice, I have shortened those articles dramatically and made a page on the subject itself Chicago Cubs futility theories. Take a look at how long it was in September compared to yesterday. You said youd lend me a hand, not reverse the whole section....Perhaps I should mark that sectoin as uner construction.... it was a shambles before, run on sentences, etc.... i work 50+ hrs and have a family so I need time to finish.... and I did not start till a few weeks ago, NOT 9/07. Come on brother....Think about it.... Now, have a happy easter, hopefully Brian Roberts is here by the end of the day.... Wjmummert (talk) 14:42, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm attempting to go for admin status here. I'd appreciate it if you could give me your support, that is, if you feel I would be a fit candidate. Berrian

[edit]

"Berrian himself has claimed he was born in Spain ([1])". Where? The IP who changed it to California at least cited a source. Can you do the same? If not, I'll revert it back. Tan | 39 19:58, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, don't think I ignored your comments on my talk page - I was glad to see that you found some references backing up your revisions. Word up, I now withdraw from this issue. :-) Tan | 39 16:32, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't unblank my talk page, please.

[edit]

I'm fine with the fact that you gave me a warning, but the edit before it wasn't necessary. See, if you had read what you had unblanked, it basically said that another Wikipedia mod gave me the OK to let my talk page be blanked.

I do this for one simple reason: I want that kind of information to be private.

I'm not ignoring the warnings in the slightest. I've saved the warnings to a Word file on my computer because, as no one seems to get, I'm not comfortable with having every single person in the entire world having access to my wall of shame. No other site on the entire internet does this, so I don't understand why I have to be publically humiliated.

So please, try to understand this. 71.235.175.147 (talk)
