License tagging for Image:Dieter Hecking.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Dieter Hecking.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:07, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Image:Dieter_Hecking.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Dieter_Hecking.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- SteinbDJ · talk · contributions 14:38, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Eilenriede Stadium Entrance.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Eilenriede Stadiun Entrance.jpg. The copy called Image:Eilenriede Stadiun Entrance.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:45, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Eilenriede Stadium Grandstand.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Eilenriede Stadium Grandstand.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG 16:58, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Wolves vandalism
[edit]The Wolves article needs reverting to 14 August because there is still a lot of vandalism (removed dates mainly) present in the article. If I do this it will result in your Wolves edits for the last day being overwritten. Are you OK with this? - X201 12:34, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Changed my mind, would be wrong that your edits suffer. Will replaced deleted dates manually when I can (aka when my boss is not on the prowl) - X201 13:03, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
"Disastrous"
[edit]"Having dire consequences, bringing ruin." How else would you describe the signings of two Russian alcoholics who refused to play, in favour of throwing vodka down their necks in London night clubs, completely destroying team morale, causing Millwall to be relegated because they had to rely on midfielders and a couple of babies from the youth team to try and score goals culminating in the forced sale of Kasey Keller and Alex Rae to make up the shortfall - inspired? Btw, please sign your posts on talk pages. Lion King 12:15, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]You made some excellent additions to the Andy Thompson (footballer) article, but I wasn't sure why you removed the stats section. I'm assuming this was a mistake(?) so I've restored it. Cheers. --Jameboy 23:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
First Division top scorers
[edit]Good work with the continuation of the First Division top scorers succession boxes - I'd started it a while back after I noticed that the succession stopped at 1992 (people seem to forget there was football played before then!), but I'd not got very far. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Sinfony81! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 317 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Fred Davies - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Morten Jensen (footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:UEFA Euro 1980 qualifying Group 1 table
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:UEFA Euro 1980 qualifying Group 1 table requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>
).
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 1970 FIFA World Cup into 1974 FIFA World Cup. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 10:33, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
