You marked an edit as a "minor edit" when it was actually a substantive edit. According to Help:Minor edit"

"Checking the minor edit box signifies that the current and previous versions differ only superficially (typographical corrections, etc.), in a way that no editor would be expected to regard as disputable. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if the edit concerns a single word, and it is improper to mark such an edit as minor."

The fact that your edit was reverted within one minute is strong evidence that your edit was not minor. Your changes are contentious and not minor. Please gain consensus on the article's talk page before making any further changes to the article. Thank you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 03:32, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Slave owner

[edit]

Follow up to Talk:George_Clymer: To make this claim on Wikipedia requires a secondary source. Had I not removed it someone else would have eventually. The problem is it is going against the grain of what Wikipedia is: a secondary-sourced-based encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a place to advance new unpublished research findings. It's a feature not a bug. If this finding is published in a journal or book, great! -- GreenC 05:32, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Found and added a secondary source confirming he owned a slave, if briefly, at a young age. George_Clymer#Slavery -- GreenC 06:34, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Just for context, this primary source URL was originally here on this page before I made an edit. It was used as evidence to the contrary, which simply seemed inaccurate. SimplySage (talk) 17:10, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
