The Medicine Barnstar
for your valuable help on Medical article assessment, thank you again Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 17:14, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
+1 to that! Thank you so much for your help. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:58, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@WhatamIdoing: @Ozzie10aaaa: Thank you guys. Now I will see if I can actually expand articles and find new medical related articles to assess. Prairie Astronomer Talk 04:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Have you ever seen User:AlexNewArtBot/MedicineSearchResult ? There are often a lot of false positives, but it might make a useful starting point. WhatamIdoing (talk) 06:18, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be honest, I almost expected it to be an April Fools prank... until I saw the 900+ edits this user has made to talk pages and realized that there are (temporarily, likely, as someone will create a new article eventually) no unassessed pages. That makes it one step easier to find articles to work on for everyone, as well as to see which articles have the highest potential gain (i.e. those lower assessed than others may require more work to make good, and be more "rewarding" for that reason). I hope to see you sticking around medical articles editing more, and maybe even taking one of your recently assessed articles to good article! -bɜ:ʳkənhɪmez (User/say hi!) 02:56, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

News from around the site

  • There is an ongoing drive to review good article nominations through the month of March. Pick up a review if you have time. Instructions here.
  • The Medicine Collaboration of the Month is on temporary (perhaps) hiatus. You can still nominate future candidates at WP:MCOTM.
  • This month's target maintenance backlog is "articles with a dead link". Each typically takes around a minute to fix, so please hit one or two when you have a moment.
  • The desktop site's default "Vector" skin is being gradually modernized. Details here. Opt-in at Preferences>Skin preferences to begin getting used to the new look.

Discussions of interest

  • A large discussion is reconsidering deprecating the aliases for some citation template parameters.
  • Please look over edit-protected medicine pages to consider whether some could have protection levels safely lowered.
