"look at all the pretty citations"

Thank you for quality articles such as Jackie Robinson, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks and Ravenloft (module), for good article collaboration, for musing about the development of Jigsaw (Marvel Comics) from one line to a marvel, for your celebrity gallery, - repeating from ten years ago: you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Awesome
Ten years!

[edit]

I changed the target of the redirect Iron Golem, which you created, to the page Minecraft. My reasoning is in my edit summary. InvalidOS (talk) 23:09, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Chromatic dragon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fictional creature, no evidence of passing WP:NFICTION/GNG, PRIMARY sources only, pure WP:PLOT, BEFORE does not show better sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Welcome back!

[edit]

I'm kicking myself for not even noticing that you've been at least semi-back for several months! How are you doing? :) BOZ (talk) 04:07, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Good, good. I completely blanked my old watchlist, which really changes a man! I got an email today mentioning TTN. I had to think for quite a while to remember who TTN was, then it all came flooding back. I used to love those AfD battles! Seems like a lot of people are still around, or more likely came back. Maybe wiki is cool again! Peregrine Fisher (talk) 04:46, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
LOL, yeah. Probably better that you didn't remember some users. :) Yeah, deletion activity has gotten worse than ever lately. Anyhow, it's great to hear from you again! Don't know if you want involvement in the tabletop gaming area anymore, and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. ;) BOZ (talk) 13:06, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
By the way just to be clear, Peregrine Fisher, I am not talking about deletion or fictional elements, I am talking about building and expanding articles on the games themselves. :) I have been pretty busy at that for the last few years!  :) BOZ (talk) 17:48, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Probably not going to work on stuff like I used to, but who knows. Why don't you give me a few articles to add to my watchlist and I'll see if I'm interested. It's funny, I do YouTube and Twitter now. I've got 2 subscribers and like 5 followers. Being on wiki made me feel a lot more important than those platforms. Peregrine Fisher (talk) 02:41, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, whatever makes you happy, I figure. :) I registered a Twitter account that I've never used, and I sometimes watch music videos on YouTube - maybe one day those will interest me more! I look at your user page and count contributions toward 2 FAs and 7 GAs for just D&D, which is more than anyone else can say - especially since it's been a while since we had a new one! More than good enough to hang your hat on, I'd say, although if you wanted to come back and do more at some point, there is always more work that can be done. But, if you ever wanted to look into getting back into tabletop gaming work, there are so many articles which have so much potential that they are not living up to! LOL I have a bunch of D&D articles on my userpage that I thought would be a good idea to improve to higher quality, but so far no one has taken me up on the challenge. As for other tabletop games, we have all sorts of game articles that should be doable to get to GA or higher - but then again, even hitting that mark is not the end-all-be-all, just making them into "good" articles to begin with is more than enough! I'm rambling. But wouldn't it be nice to have some high quality articles to look at for say Ogre, GURPS, Traveller, BattleTech, World of Darkness, RuneQuest, Call of Chutlhu, Shadowrun, Warhammer 40,000, etc? I don't know, take your pick, take a look see and what you want to do, or just sit back and relax and do your thing. :) (OK, well, Ogre passed GA in 2008 and... it would fail a GA review, so count that one in for improvement.) If none of those catch your interest, let me know, there is a lot more that I could look into, I have started many little stubs on games, game supplements, game designers and artists, etc, over the last few years that just need work from someone with access to sources. BOZ (talk) 05:08, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll check some of those out. Peregrine Fisher (talk) 15:32, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas!

[edit]

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings".  :) BOZ (talk) 21:49, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The disclaimer made me laugh. Thanks. Peregrine Fisher (talk) 01:23, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Home for Christmas (TV series) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
