File source problem with File:Willie The Lion Smith with Fats Waller.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Willie The Lion Smith with Fats Waller.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:38, 8 March 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.46.193 (talk) 06:38, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Django & Fred Astaire.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Django & Fred Astaire.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Gottlieb photos
[edit]Hi. I fixed the license info for the Gottlieb photos File:Iconic Willie The Lion Smith.jpg and File:Willie The Lion Smith.jpg. Note that Gottlieb was NOT acting as an employee of the U.S. Federal Government when making these photos, and they are not Federal Government works. See [1]. If you think there is a reason they can be reused, a Wikipedia:Fair use rationale would be needed. Thanks. -- Infrogmation (talk) 02:39, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:The Lion Smoking.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:The Lion Smoking.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Musamies (talk) 07:11, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Gottlieb photos
[edit]Per your question, contacting them for permission might be worth a try. Check out Wikipedia:Non-free content for overview of non-free material use policies; Wikipedia:OTRS is where permissions go. (Sorry for the short reply, don't have much time for more details right now.) Cheers, -- Infrogmation (talk) 12:29, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ed, Edd n Eddy (season 1), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of Ed, Edd n Eddy episodes. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 07:05, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Good as any other place to put this, please do not try and create articles or new content like templates relating to Ed, Edd n Eddy. Two reasons, the fanbase may be wildly fanatical about the show but they grossly overestimate just how important it is here (not that much) and the fanbase, being wildly fanatical, are by extension idiots for the most part and will add any old junk to anything that isn't locked down. Also, IMDb is very far from reliable being user generated content and cannot be used as a source, same goes for TV.com, Zap2It amongst a bunch of others. baa! radda 00:43, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- I know it's not that important, I can tell by the main article, and okay, I don't really see what pointing out what idiots Ed, Edd n Eddy fans are and how they'll "add any old junk to anything that isn't locked down." Is there something more important that should be worked on? I thought the point to Wikipedia was to work on poorly written articles by idiots, and make it slightly better. Was I adding old junk to anything that isn't locked down? Last time I checked I added certain old junk to Ed, Edd n Eddy relating that were locked down. Okay, so should I go to a website of a big-name print magazine? I attempted to crate those articles and that template in hopes that I would re-spark interest in working on Ed, Edd n Eddy related articles.--Morahman7vn (talk) 02:55, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Heh, what I'm saying is that wildly fanatical fans are idiots as they want everything in whether or not it's relevant, sourceable or even true, believe you're not a "real fan" if you disagree and will editwar to get their way and that's not specific to EEnE. If you need to work on Ed, Edd n Eddy content use what articles currently exist, give them a cleanup, new articles just spread the dirt around that you or someone else will have to clean up. Your only bad idea was the episode article idea you had and even you reckoned it was too, it (or any other episode article) wouldn't have survived in mainspace too long due to lack of notability and reliable sourcing. I understand you want to do something good for the articles but what is around now needs work more, the main article needs a near complete rewrite and better sourcing.
You might be thinking "why can't you do it?" I have done it in the past, dealt with bad editors, merged, redirected and had deleted pointless articles and templates and know what it's like, it's chaos and you get burned out. By consensus it was decided long ago that three articles were about as many as can be supported within WP:GNG and that helped to keep these notoriously bad articles somewhat clean. I'd say if you want to source something well a big-name print magazine is a good starting point, judge the validity of a source by how much you'd believe the content to be accurate. Respark interest by all means, I do want good articles for the show even if I near despise it now and given the dropoff in editors for it, more good ones is always a plus. baa! radda 12:03, 1 January 2010 (UTC)- Believe it or not, you convinced me, and I hope you can manage to keep that "can do" attitude for other would-be fans of the show, I say would-be fans because the would be "real fans" of the show if they brushed up on their grammar and aspired to be as good as the writers of Ed, Edd n Eddy. Because that "don't try" might work on some people. All I'm saying is thanks and try to explain what wrong, encourage to do what right, in clear and simple terms that can be universally understood. After all, this is the original Wikipedia! Not some of those other ones with adds allover them that just look cheap. And Happy New Year.--Morahman7vn (talk) 08:23, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Postscript: I'm not telling you to be nice, I'm just asking to be like a (real) Journalist and present the facts without bias. And I never thought you did any of that stuff, but it's good to know.--Morahman7vn (talk) 08:23, 3 January 2010 (UTC)- I can try, people like EEnE a lot and figure what can be applied to bigger shows can also apply here. Sadly, for EEnE it's like building a glass-fronted building in a high-crime area, articles go to crap and eventually end up back where you started due to a mass AfD. Anyway, the main point for anyone new to EEnE is to improve before you create. Also, I don't know where you asked me to be nice, I do try and whilst trying to report the state of an article without bias is hard I can understand what you mean, the first few versions of my last response was much less balanced. Might want to consider doing something about that navbox template for the first season, it'll end up redundant. baa! radda 12:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- What navbox? You mean for that episode template I tried to make?
- Infobox then, I know there might have been one for season one but I think now that was Hadger's doing. Anyway, yeah,
{{Infobox Ed, Edd n Eddy episode}}
is redundant and may need to be deleted, a post over at WP:TFD should handle that. baa! radda 05:21, 5 January 2010 (UTC)- It may not be needed now, but in time, it may be. It almost works as it's supposed too, but if the board decides delete it, than they may. I've put too much in trying to make it work.--Morahman7vn (talk) 06:46, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:EdTouchables.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:EdTouchables.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:54, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well then I suppose you might as well, because the article I was using it for doesn't seem like it's going to be a "viable article for mainspace" for quite some time.--Morahman7vn (talk) 03:01, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Your Template
[edit]Hi! I noticed your template is almost the same as mine. I'm ok if you did copy and paste the text, (you can keep the template even if you did) but I'm telling you about this because I am aware that if you did use my template, (except for the fact that you changed links and colors) you might need some help with editing it. I'm completely ok if you used my template. Besides, I sort of did some copying and pasting, too. If you want the colors changed, you may ask me. Also, other people may want you to be asked. I'm ok that you didn't asked, but I don't want other people getting mad if you use other people's things without their permission. Like I said, you may keep the template, but if you need help with it, you can ask me, and I suggest that next time you ask other people before you put a template of theirs on your user page, because otherwise, they might get mad at you, and I don't want that happening. Also, happy New Year! :) --Hadger 03:26, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- You have been on Wikipedia for longer than me, though, so I won't really be surprised if you say you don't need help (I won't be surprised if you say you do need help, either, because almost every Wikipedian [including me] needs help on Wikipedia sometimes). --Hadger 03:28, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- He he he, sorry and thanks for not being mad, one thing that always made me mad was how nice other peoples' user pages looked, and I never knew how to add templates that let people know personal information, say if you like Jazz (I do), you'd of course would want one of those cool boxes that neatly displayed; so yeah i was jealous. But like I said I never knew (or bothered to ask) how I could get one myself, and always just assumed their was some Wiki-hierarchy that would fore you to earn those personal information boxes. I do most of my copying and pasting for articles, until recently I copied what I thought was the best episode template from the best article of an American animated television show (sitcom), are only two American animated television shows that are stared articles, and only one with seasons of episodes. This relates to you because I forget where, but I saw your draft the Ed, Edd n Eddy Movie, then you user page...you know where this is going. So yes please I like to know how to change color, though I think I might already know how. If you ever need help citing or arranging articles, feel free to ask, and if I can think of or remember to ask you for anything, I hope I will (I'm a bad procrastinator). Thanks Hager, and you can call me Mō if you like to.--Morahman7vn (talk) 07:54, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Frontline (PBS) episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shuichi Kato (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
