FIRST!!!!!!

[edit]

Ho ho. So it doesn't look likely that the 2015 Tour de Suisse‎ will make ITN, but the great reaction to the quality of the article has to be positive. Again, great work. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:49, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's on the mainpage! Nice one. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 09:03, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, creating plenty of articles, mainly around cricket right now. Going to be busy with this tournament next month (go Canada!) and then the small matter of the Ashes. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:05, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ProCyclingStats

[edit]

{{ProCyclingStats}}. Check out my latest edit on Tony Martin's article. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:46, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well I only created it a few minutes ago! I've been using PCS for along time in citing articles. Great site. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:52, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I just copied the Cycling Archives one and changed the link. Easy as that. #smug Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:17, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Feel free to correct the template if needed. I'm not 100% sure if it's "ProCyclingStats" or "Pro Cycling Stats". Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:29, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, saw the men's and women's races yesterday - great stuff. Cav was great, obviously would have nailed it on a flat finish. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:33, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Evening. The arbitration notice relates to comments I added at a thread at WP:ANI (which any user can do), but it's gone a stage further (not due to me, I might add)! The full thing is here. I don't agree with some of the edits KWW was making, but I can't be bothered with the full case. The people that deal with that will make their findings. So I'm not in trouble (for once!) and I'm def. not an admin. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:57, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of 2015 Tour de Suisse

[edit]

The article 2015 Tour de Suisse you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:2015 Tour de Suisse for things which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Zwerg Nase -- Zwerg Nase (talk) 15:21, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Don't get too discouraged - it's tough to bring articles up to the standard required. Looks like this one is almost there. Maybe throw the question back to the reviewers and say "right now, as it stands, what is preventing this from reaching GA"? Good luck! I was working on the Tour's start list today. Just minor things on sourcing all the first-time starters. Thought it would only take about 10 minutes, but lasted well over an hour! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:34, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, no probs! Remember, we're all volunteers here, so we can only do what we can do. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:38, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it's going OK now - not too long and it should pass. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:40, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Same to you, too, Matt. Good to see you around here. Doing well thanks. Busy with cricket at the moment and building up for another fun-packed UCI tour season! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:21, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Salut. Hi Matt - hope you're well. Great start to the Tour - Cav and Sagan taking wins and yellow jerseys! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 16:41, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Great to see the top 4 on the first stage being the top 4 sprinters in the world. And Froome going for it at the end of stage 2! This looks like a solid race this year. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 12:08, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sagan!

[edit]

What a legend. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 13:39, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apart from the 2 minutes the race split out in the desert, it was pretty dull! First time I've seen a race where the final group of riders contained more people than were stood there watching it. Well at least there will be big crowds in Europe for the next three years. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 19:21, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Matt. Hope you're well. Don't know if you've been watching the 2017 Tirreno–Adriatico, but the end of stage 5 was one of the best I've seen! Skip to about 4:30 in this clip and enjoy. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 09:56, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Good to hear you're well and not forgotten! Yes, the cycling articles are in good shape - take a look at the articles in the 2017 UCI World Tour page. I'm MSR'ing as I type too! 41.5km to go... Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 15:21, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work! Loved when Sagan took it up on the final climb and blew the race apart. Gutted for him to lose right on the line. But hats off for him shaking Kwiatkowski's hand straight away. What a legend. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 18:37, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hero to villain in 24hrs! Damn. I don't think he should have been kicked off the tour though. Hope you're keeping well too. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 19:30, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, it looked bad, and no-one wants to leave with a broken shoulder/collar-bone, but there was no intent. Really bad choice to punish Sagan twice! Agree with you about the flat stages - been a bit dull so far (apart from the last 250m!) Some hills coming up now. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:58, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Is the word legend over-used?! Sagan, AKA Mr Anonymous for 267km, appears with 500m to go! What a race. :D Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:35, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sagan all the way! Was concerned when no-one was mentioning him on commentary, and they even had to check twice that he'd crossed the line for the final lap in the main group! Excellent course, great crowds and a fantastic world champs all round. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:10, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
