This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chinon (castle), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Chinon. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Fixed, just needed to remove the content of the other page. Malinaccier (talk) 01:00, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fisk Black

Hi. You closed this afd, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fisk Black, after it had been open less than a day, and left no closing rationale. I'd appreciate your thoughts on how you feel a new editor to Wikipedia may perceive the closure and lack of explanation, since it seems a really short time for an afd to be open. I know why you did it, but would someone new? I think per WP:BITE we've got to be as open and as explanatory as possible. Just some thoughts for the future. All the best, Hiding T 19:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

  • You;re missing my point. Can you declare, as fact, that no newbie has seen nor will ever see that afd? The main thrust of WP:BITE is to empower newcomers, to make them feel welcome, and to integrate them into our processes. We do this as much by explaining ourselves, by setting an example, as we do through our engagement with such editors. Like I say, I know why you did it. I'm asking you, have you set a good example? I don't think you have. I think if you close an afd after less than 24 hours you are obligated to the community to explain that early closure in your closing comments. That's part of the social contract we have with the Wikipedian community, that we are open with each other and explain ourselves. I'm merely outlining this for future reference. It is possible every afd will be somebody's first, whether they comment or not. I hope that better outlines what I want to get across. Anyway, all the best. Hiding T 20:11, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Cheers

Cheers both for the barnstar and being understanding and all the rest of it. Have one for me! Hiding T 13:58, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Hiya

Hi there! I remember you from the Simple English Wikipedia. You do know that I actually do edit this Wikipedia also, right? Cheers, Razorflame 20:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I would appreciate it if you would delete this article. I would say is speedyable per A7 because, although it does give an assertion of nobility, Google turns up nothing. The reason I am asking you this is because I don't think an admin would delete it under speedy unless they knew what I wrote previously. Thanks much. Thingg 00:18, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for deleting this so speedily! While you are at it could you look at Samuel Watson. There is no real claim of notability there (and certainly no verifiable sources for any of it). I also worry about the worth of the vandalism-only contributions of User:The-sand-monkey. I guess it needs to wait for an infraction after my final warning? --Slp1 (talk) 00:32, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
BTW this was the recent, highly mature (and temporary) addition to my talkpage! [1] Gotta love it! --Slp1 (talk) 00:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your message, and for removing the stuff from my talkpage and for blocking our friend! No problem waiting it out: now that I have remove the supposed death etc, it isn't an attack, though still probably totally untruthful: Watson doesn't appear on any of the linked articles he should be on!! Oh well! --Slp1 (talk) 00:43, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

WBOSITG Coaching

I just want to ask a question in regard to the admin coaching you have given WBOSITG. It is very well done, i learnt a lot from it and i think everyone can but unless im mistaken, if i am please point it out but you asked a question in his first RFA that was a reason for him pulling out, the 'Wikimedia Foundation Communications Committee' hint, hint. Where is this in the coaching? Has WBOSITG learnt from this, i dont even know the answer but its only a matter of time before it is asked. Thanks 137.154.16.30 (talk) 04:09, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Here at the bottom he has a link to WP:SIP stating that he read up on it. Thanks for your help and concerns! :) Malinaccier Public (talk) 12:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching

Hello Malinaccier. Would you mind being my admin coach? I've noticed you've done a few already and they ook really good. My admin coaching subpage is at User:Editorofthewiki/Adminship. Thanks. Editorofthewikireview my edits here! 11:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Replied at your coaching page. Malinaccier Public (talk) 12:25, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Not too long now

Not too long now...I am really looking forward to working with, or should I say, being taught by you. = ) I have WBOSITG's Rfa page on my watchlist. It seems to be going well. Although I was somewhat upset by some of the comments posted on the talk page of the Rfa. Many users seem to be implying that admin coaching is merely lessons in 'wiki politics'. I find such statements very unfair. Perhaps they all ought to review your four phase system. --Cameron (t|p|c) 20:43, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I shall look forward to it = )! If, in the future, I ever become an admin, I can imagine myself using your four phase system...though I would wait a while first, so as to familiarise myself with being an admin! I have recently been wondering whether we ought to postpone my admin coaching...As much as I'm looking forward to it...I will be very busy the next 4-6 weeks due to my exams. I do have a bit of time to answer questions now and again but you might find me very slow! So it's entirely up to you, really! --Cameron (t|p|c) 10:29, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, the admin coaching can commence as soon as WBOSTG's rfa is finished but be warned, it could take me ages to reply! I'm alright at the moment though; I live on the continent at the moment and as you may have deduced by my spelling/style I'm actually British, so I don't need to do all that much revising for the English exams = )!--Cameron (t|p|c) 13:53, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
How do you do? Sorry I'm so excited so I just had to contact you! Our admin coaching page can be at User:Cameron/Admin coaching (I have done the honours!). I have already filled out the checklist a while ago (sorry, couldn't resist)...you can copy it over from here! See you later!--Cameron (t|p|c) 10:14, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Rfb participation thanks

Hello, Malinaccier.

I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your support. -- Avi (talk) 17:05, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA question

Hello. I was wondering what this RfA question teaches you in regards to the soundness of the candidate's judgement for adminship? Given that there is no such thing as a truly optional question to a candidate on RfA (especially when people in the RfA are insisting they be answered, as in this case), is it absolutely critical to your decision that they answer a tenth question? (And also, is it really anyone's business what someone enjoy's about Wikipedia?) Splash - tk 13:20, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Admin Coaching

Hey. I saw the work you did with WBOSITG and was wondering if you could become my admin coach. It seems like it would really help me out on the website, and will also help with my next RFA (eventually... maybe in October or so). Drop me a line on my talk page if you are interested. WBOSITG's RfA

My RfA

Hi Malinaccier; I wanted to say thank you for supporting my request for adminship, which passed with 100 supports, 0 opposes and 1 neutral. I wanted to get round everybody individually, even though it's considered by some to be spam (which... I suppose it is! but anyway. :)). It means a lot to me that the community has placed its trust in my ability to use the extra buttons, and I only hope I can live up to its expectations. If you need anything, or notice something that bothers you, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again, PeterSymonds | talk 21:50, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, I seem to have completed the checklist sofar... PS: Did you know, I was granted rollback yesterday! I am so pleased as it just came out of the blue (I was planning on applying to someone but I wasn't sure the amount of anti-vandal-work would be sufficient)...And then all of a sudden an Peter just came and awarded me it (on the grounds, I could be trusted). I am so pleased = ). --Cameron (t|p|c) 09:53, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Pizza Mia

How is the Pizza Mia page meaningless?--Ro098 (talk) 23:25, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

It is an article about a single type of pizza deal offered at one pizza place that has not received significant media coverage from third-party reliable sources. My reason for deletion was not "meaningless", it was "No meaningful, substansive content" which implies my above reason. For more information on notability, see this page. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Malinaccier (talk) 23:31, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Can or should I add it to the pizza hut page?--Ro098 (talk) 00:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I would personally advise against it, but you may wish to take the matter up on the discussion page of the article. The article Pizza Hut could use some references if you'd like to help in that way. If you have any more questions, I would be glad to help! Malinaccier (talk) 01:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Answer 2

Is my answer to question 2 OK? I have stated that I haven't ever been in a proper conflict. I once heard someone say that one oughn't write that one hadn't ever been in a conflict because most people have. But (to my knowledge) I never have been. How would you define 'conflict'? --Cameron (t|p|c) 21:54, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Or, to put it another way, are there any downsides to adding oneself to the list? Regards, --Cameron (t|p|c) 13:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I think I shall consider doing it manually too. I too spend ages reading (during which time I am not actively editing). Mind you, as a non-admin I could be accused of trying to push my edit count up (personally, I only view edit counts as a crude way of determining ability but some other people are of a different opinion). --Cameron (t|p|c) 17:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I was taking umbrage with the process. I do understand that the project does need “Specialized” – “Criteria” and, in general, people to handle the mop. However, it seems that it has become a contest of “who can nominate” the most individuals or who has the “most successful” candidates that get the extra buttons. In the process, individuals like Scetoaux are caught up in the process. Here we have a candidate, if they keep up their present contribution quantity and quality, which would be a shoo-in in about three to six months. However, after only 30 days we are nominating them to make decisions on whether to Keep or Delete – Block or not to Block – Use snow or let the process to continue. Sorry, I believe it is unfair to both the process and the individual. ShoesssS Talk 00:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Again I'm sorry it was between you and SynergeticMaggot and your name was easier to spell. Likewise, I do understand the need for additional administrators, but it seems that many times we throw a majority of the good candidates out with just a few of the bad because of an individual criteria’s, rather than looking at the primary goal of the project. And to invoke a personal agenda, I like to see someone with at least 6 months of experience before deciding what stays and what does not. Thanks for listening. ShoesssS Talk 01:10, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Hello Malinaccier/May 2008! I'd like to leave a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully today (and to my surprise) with 83 supports, 4 opposes, and 2 neutral. What I have taken back from my RFA is that I've perhaps been too robust in debate and I will endevour to improve upon that aspect of my usership. I would like to thank you again and state here that I will not let any of my fellow Wikipedian's down. Thanks again! --Jza84 |  Talk  11:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

New Rollback items in toolbox

Hello, again, Malinaccier. I have a question about Rollback, if you're not too busy with admin tasks.

I just noticed I have new items in my toolbox, presumably for Rollback. I've tried using them, but I have no idea how to make proper use of them; I don't even see a diff button which I usually use to detect vandal edits. Are there any differences between the special toolbox buttons and the normal "Recent Changes" link that is usually used?

Cheers, --Mizu onna sango15/珊瑚15 22:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC).

My ER

Thanks for your comments and advice, I was going to wait 6 months or so before applying anyway, and your nomination would be great. As for the coachng, I don't want you to take on more than you can handle but I would willingly accept. I'll sort my userpage in an hour or so (I don't have time now) and will certainly take your advice on board!...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 12:56, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I've sorted my userpage, but I have received an offer for admin coaching from User:WBOSITG as well. He said he can start sooner, and I know you've got a queue, so I have accepted his offer but your input and advice would still be very welcome...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 08:53, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks so much for your support in myRfA, which closed successfully this morning. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 17:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

My RfA

I have my doubts as well. But I really want to see how much of a chance I stand. Opposers usually give opinions. Besides according to the different pages I have a chance. If there's any mistakes in the request please fix them, thank you.Xp54321 (Vandals Beware!!!,Contribs) 01:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

See I'm getting feedback. Don't worry I won't be crushed if this fails.Xp54321 (Vandals Beware!!!,Contribs) 01:37, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

My RfA

Hey Malinaccier. I would like to thank you for your support in my RfA and the confidence expressed thereby. I appreciate your trust. :) Best wishes, —αἰτίας discussion 18:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks...

for your kind comments on my RFA. You can't imagine how nice it was to read such positive remarks so early on in what was a very scary process for me. Thanks for your confidence and I will do my best to live up to it. --Slp1 (talk) 19:33, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

User:Loiterton and User:DaAlmighty1

Hi Malinaccier. I'm not sure if there's a previous history behind your indef block of User:Loiterton. I've come across this by following the paper trail of a vandal named User:DaAlmighty1, who is also inappropriately inserting "Philip Loiterton" and "Zimu Zhang" into articles. In this sequence [2] [3], they appear to be working together. Just wanted to alert you to the likely connection. --BlueMoonlet (t/c) 01:17, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for supporting my RfA, which went through 93/12/5. I'll be steadfast in this trust the en.Wikipedia community has given me. Cheers! Gwen Gale (talk) 01:11, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

RE: Coachees

Oh, right, sorry. I thought we discussed that on IRC? No? If not, I'm happy to stick with Dendodge (or nobody at all, if you prefer). weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 12:34, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

And about the table, feel free. Thanks for asking first, mind :P weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 12:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Alright then. I just figured it would be easier for the coachees to get a coach now, rather than waiting in your queue, if you get what I mean. Of course, you can still co-coach Dendodge, the fact that I'm using your system makes that easy enough. Can I still co-coach Sunderland? I've had brilliant interactions with him on IRC. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 12:40, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I've started the coaching page at User:Dendodge/Admin coaching, just so as you know. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 13:07, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
They are? Wow, I'm sorry ;) I agree totally with the "main coach, sub coach" ideology, we could definitely work with that. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 17:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA

I know I'm really not supposed to do this, but I'm going to make a special case and thank your for your confidence, you've given me hope yet :-) Cheers ╟─TreasuryTag (talk contribs)─╢ 16:30, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA thank you spam

Hi there - thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed 69/10/3 yesterday. I will put the tools to good use and hopefully justify the confidence you had in me. Best wishes Fritzpoll (talk) 11:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Can you mark Balloonman's AfD scenarios in Dendodge's ADCO? (And give me the answers for ffm's?) I can't decipher them, they're that difficult! weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 21:36, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Right then. I hate to say he's right when he's not, and vice versa. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 22:17, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
