I'm unsure about redirects/disambiguation. Looking for Thomas Hopson at present redirects to Peregrine Hopson. Fine, he was Peregrine Thomas Hopson; I don't need to change that if someone refers to him as Thomas. But Thomas Hopsonn (not wrong - DNB) is also regularly known as Thomas Hopson (well, the British House of Commons which employed both of them back then thinks so - http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1690-1715/member/hopson-thomas-1643-1717. So can I remove the present redirect in order to disambiguate? I dream of horses

Yes, that seems a reasonable disambiguation. By the way, the code to sign your messages on talk pages is four tildes: ~~~~ Yours, Huon (talk) 19:45, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to English Tangier may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited English Tangier, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alfonso VI. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi-Are you still active on this article? If not, I will have a go at doing the Tangier and Parliament sections.Plucas58 (talk) 21:46, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Plucas58. Yes, I am still actively pursuing Colonel Henry, but have been diverted onto other topics (English Tangier related) and so have neglected him for a while. I am very happy for you to add whatever you wish (especially if it relates to his post-Tangier activities) and will not re-edit anything you put in without talking first! Plucas58 Macquants (talk) 00:50, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I'll see what I can do on his post-Tangier Parliamentary and Mayoral activities and leave Tangier to you. As I try not to be proprietorial about my contributions I will not be at all bothered if you totally rewrite it. I do that to other people after all. Plucas58 (talk) 01:29, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Above done as promised. Over to youPlucas58 (talk) 15:42, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Will get there soon! Plucas58 Macquants
