Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Licensed practical nurse. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 14:43, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MrOllie,
I am writing to respectfully request that you reconsider the removal of external links that I added to the "Licensed practical nurse" Wikipedia page, as well as a few other pages. I understand and appreciate the concerns you expressed in your message and would like to clarify the purpose of these links.
My website, Support Groups for Nurses (https://supportgroupsfornurses.org), is a non-commercial, informational platform dedicated to providing valuable content and resources for nursing professionals and students. The site does not use affiliate links, promote any products, or solicit purchases. The primary goal of the website is to offer guidance, support, and educational resources for nurses and individuals interested in the nursing profession.
The external links I added to the Wikipedia pages were intended to complement the existing content by providing readers with additional, relevant information on specific topics. I believe these links can enhance the reader's experience and understanding of the subject matter, without violating Wikipedia's external links guideline or spam guideline.
I understand that Wikipedia's primary objective is to maintain the integrity and quality of its content. I assure you that my intention was not to advertise or promote any products or services but to share valuable information that could benefit Wikipedia's readers.
If you could kindly reconsider the inclusion of these links, I would greatly appreciate it. I am also open to discussing any concerns you may have and will gladly make any necessary modifications to ensure compliance with Wikipedia's guidelines.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Lyudmilasmolina364 (talk) 15:01, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As a person with a conflict of interest, you should not be adding links to your site. We have sourcing requirements, and self published materials like your site do not meet them. I appreciate that your site is non-commercial, but does not afford any difference in our guidelines. MrOllie (talk) 15:05, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the answer Lyudmilasmolina364 (talk) 15:07, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Dear MrOllie, I sincerely apologize for the oversight. My intention was to provide supplemental information to the article, and I realize now that my approach was not appropriate. I assure you it won't happen again, and I'll refrain from making such changes to Wikipedia in the future. Thank you for your understanding. Lyudmilasmolina364 (talk) 15:03, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
