If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Home Offers Network requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Home Offers Network, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mean as custard (talk) 14:06, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Home Offers Network

[edit]

Hello Luisbuyshouses,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Home Offers Network for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 14:57, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a real person, not a scam. I have the job to learn how to post an article about my boss company, tell me what can I do to remove promotional messages from the article and I will do it.Luisbuyshouses (talk) 15:32, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There are two other points that need addressing - one is that your username looks very promotional to me. It may not be the name of the company, but it is inviting people to do business with you. The other point is notability. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a directory. In a directory, almost any company can have an entry. Here, the vast majority of companies don't. Read WP:CORP about company notability, and WP:RS about reliable independent sources. In the last version of the article, there wasn't one reference that even mentioned the company. Yes, referencing technical terms is a good ides, but for notability there must be reasonably in depth coverage. That doesn't include PRWire and similar, Facebook etc, the company site, and it also doesn't include 'interviews' with the CEO where he appears to talk in PR speak in reply to obviously pre-arranged questions. You know the sort of thing. This is your first lesson in Wikipedia. No, the first was learning that we have a network of patrollers checking things, and admins that enforce the rules... Peridon (talk) 16:33, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The next lesson is to understand that if you do get an article, you don't own it. On Facebook, only you and a clever hacker can edit your profile. Here, every man and his dog can edit, and so long as they are referenced properly, the edits can't be removed even if the company doesn't like them. It does happen. Even to governments. Peridon (talk) 16:36, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Further to Peridon, the articles were deleted mainly because there was no evidence that the subject was sufficiently notable to appear in a global encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a social media platform or a business directory: all subjects must have received significant coverage in third-party media of more than local importance. It's clear from your edits, your username and your comments above that you (or your boss) think Wikipedia is a place to promote the company, and that it is your sole reason for being here. That is why you're blocked, and why you'll remain blocked. However, nobody thinks you or your company aren't real, and nobody thinks you or it are a scam: that is not why the articles were deleted, but mere existence doesn't entitle anyone or anything to an article in an encyclopedia.
