Tijuana cross-border terminal
[edit]Thank you for your review, this is my first article and still do not know the in and outs. I wrote the history portion since I designed and promoted the project for 20 years. Do I have to make changes to the introduction? I did not create the page, it as moved from the Tijuana International Airport page to its current location and made into a main article. I think it has been corrected, but I am not sure. You advice would be greatly appreciated. Rnieders (talk) 18:23, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Rnieders. No worries at all, it was actually my first review, so I've had to ask for help and a second opinion. As someone from the UK the subject is really intriguing and must have been a great project to work on. The DYK problem with the article has already been amended, so there's no need to worry about that. I did make a suggestion on the talk page of the article that it could do with breaking up into paragraphs to make it a bit easier to read. -LÒÓkingYourBest(Talk|Edits) 18:30, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hello LYB, Thank you for fast reply. It was a difficult project to work on because of the politics between Mexico and the U.S., simple concept but not so simple to get people to talk to each other, 18 years, and after putting all the people and pieces together, was not even invited to the ground breaking. - The cross border terminal page has been revised and all the history moved to a new article titled "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal." I did contact the editor and asked that the title be changed and he responded that that was the appropriate title but I still feel that the term Plans is not an accurate descriptor as the Plans were only a small portion of the work I did, the main portion were the negotiations and events that converted a 6 month process into a 20 year odyssey. You are the one who revamped the original article into a logical time-line, do you feel that removing all the information into a new article which in a search does not even appear, google cross-border terminal and "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal" does not come up and probably never will with daily views in the single digits. I suggested a more appropriate and accurate title as Cross Border Xpress History as searches generally focus on the first few words, the article title "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal" is too long and Plans should be at the end not beginning. But the article focus was on the history and people involved, not the plans. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on this? I would appreciate them, Rnieders.Rnieders (talk)

DYK for Charlotte Medal
[edit]On 28 September 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Charlotte Medal, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Charlotte Medal, said to be the first work of Australian colonial art, was created in 1788 by a British convict to commemorate the First Fleet's voyage to Botany Bay? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Charlotte Medal. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

- Congratulations for promoting the Charlotte Medal article to DYK! Btw, the Charlotte Medal is incredibly beautiful with a fascinating history. It makes for one of the best hooks I've seen. (They're your hooks btw, I just 'glued' a couple of them together). Keep up the good work. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 23:53, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Good morning Gwillhickers! Thank you for your kind words and help. I really enjoyed researching and creating the article. I was surprised no-one else had! I thought it was a really interesting subject and now the museum has it, hopefully a lot more people will get to see it. Hope you have a great day. -LÒÓkingYourBest(Talk|Edits) 07:04, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

links words with images within a wiki article
[edit]Hello LYB, almost two years ago you made some changes to the Wiki article Tijuana Cross-border terminal, now Cross Border Xpress. Those changes made the article read much better. The article has 15+ images, does Wiki have a method by which the images can be attached to a name, e.g. Image 1 (the Mexicana de Aviacion image) so that the reader can simply click on "Image 1" within a sentence and be taken to the image within the article? The reason I ask is that the article is now pretty long and being able to reference the images within a paragraph could help the reader better understand the different concepts that evolved. Thank you for your prior help all the best Rnieders (talk) 18:59, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
90 SU and TCW merger
[edit]Hi LYB. Could you please start the merger proposal discussion on the 90SU talk page? It would look slightly unseemly if I started it (and I broadly agree with the proposal anyway). Thanks and regards. The joy of all things (talk) 11:53, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Good morning @The joy of all things:, thanks for that. I'd started it on the TCW talk page, but have shifted it across now. Despite having a lot of edits on both pages, I think there's still a lot of 'fluff' on them. Merging might help. -LÒÓkingYourBest(Talk|Edits) 10:00, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Cross Border Xpress
[edit]This question was originally sent to your archive 1. a few additions to the question. The cross border terminal (Cross Border Xpress) page has been revised and all the history moved to a new article titled "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal." I did contact the editor and asked that the title be changed and he responded that it was the appropriate title but I still feel that the term Plans is not an accurate descriptor as the Plans were only a small portion of the work I did, the main portion were the negotiations and events that converted a 6 month process into a 20 year odyssey. You are the one who revamped the original article into a logical time-line three years ago, do you feel that removing all the information into a new article which in a search does not even appear, google cross-border terminal and "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal" does not come up and probably never will with daily views in the single digits. I suggested a more appropriate and accurate title as Cross Border Xpress History as searches generally focus on the first few words, the article title "Plans for Tijuana Airport cross-border terminal" is too long and Plans should be at the end not beginning. But the article's focus is on the history and people involved, not the plans. The editor who changed the article and created a new one sent as an example History of New York City which was broken into two Wikipedia pages, History of New York City and History of New York City (1946-1977). I was wondering if the Cross Border Xpress could be changed in the same format, one Cross Border Xpress and the other Cross Border Xpress History or Cross Border Xpress U.S.-Mexico History or Cross Border Xpress U.S.-Mexico Negations or a derivative of that which would more accurately describe the article's contents. I would appreciate your opnion rnieders Rnieders (talk)
