If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:LOD Phase 3 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.undp.org/content/bosnia_and_herzegovina/en/home/library/crisis_prevention_and_recovery/bulletin-no-1-reinforcement-of-local-democracy-iii/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]
This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, LOD Phase 3, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. CactusWriter (talk) 18:21, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for inconvenience, but since it's my first time to edit and create any texts on the Wikipedia, i might have made a mistake. i tried to use Wiki to promote a development practice in Bosnia to wider audience. Basically it's a project implemented by a very serious agencies. Since it's been my first time to log on, i did not even manage to complete my entry (references, photos, other visuals, etc). AS i am still not 100% what exactly is my mistake please help. i tried to read explanations, terms etc, but too many information and i simply get confused.

sincerely,

The important points are:
  • Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, and accounts whose usernames are names of groups or organizations are not permitted.
  • You write that you tried "to use Wiki to promote a development practice in Bosnia to wider audience", but Wikipedia is absolutely not to be used for any kind of promotion, even of worthy causes. It is not a place for people or organizations to "tell the world" about themselves. If you are connected with LOD, you should read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide.
  • Subjects for Wikipedia articles need to have Wikipedia:Notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? See Wikipedia:Notability (summary).
There is good general advice at WP:Your first article. If having read all this you think that an acceptable article about LOD Phase 3 could be written, with independent sources to establish notability, you need to make an unblock request to change username, as described above, making clear that you understand the principles of WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and will edit in accordance with them.
