A tag has been placed on Dehler Yachts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. shoy (reactions) 17:58, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

answer and contest

Hello shoy,

you nominated the article "Dehler Yachts" for speedy deletion. Unfortunately I cannot find the "contest speedy deletion"-button ... so I contest here by this answer. I hope this is ok? -

May be the article is nor perfect neither ready (missing references and linkage will follow soon). But apart form that the subject is of common interest especially for sailors. Consider that Dehler is a very well known brand for sailing yachts worldwide. Ask sailors, they will confirm! And why is it so well known? Thats because the yard - or lets say the founder Willi Dehler himself - was a pioneer in yacht building for decades. More than 20.000 boats were built by Dehler. You find the boats in every corner of the world. Take a few minutes to read about these things here: h24-files.s3.amazonaws.com/112707/482923-AhklI.pdf

Dehler is - furthermore - a part of sailing history because of its highly innovative competition boats (Sprinta Sport, db1 and db2 --->legendary until today). These boats have shaken up the IOR regatta world in the 1970s and 80s. If you look up at wikipedia you can find only an article in german language. But the history of Dehler is international. Please help to let sailors and others from everywhere know about it!

Moody Yachts edit

[edit]

please note that you have not included any references to your recent edits to http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Moody_Yachts When I checked some of your data conflicts with other available information, for example displacement ie http://www.windcraftmoody.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Moody_AC41_Specification.pdf and https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/moody-41-classic Please add references to your edits that agree with the information you have provided Ilenart626 (talk) 04:28, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ilenart626, thank you for your note. In deed, there are different specs published obviously (displacement, sail area). I refer to the current standard specification provided by the company itself here: https://www.yachts.group/moody/gb/boats/moody-ac41/documents.html, https://www.yachts.group/moody/gb/boats/moody-ds45/documents.html, https://www.yachts.group/moody/gb/boats/moody-ds54/documents.html. Bit strange. I will ask the company.--Kattesmile2 (talk) 16:01, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Ilenart626, concerning the 41 AC specs provided by sailboatdata: displacement, ballast and SA/D ratio are definetely wrong. No boat of this size weights 47,628 lb.--Kattesmile2 (talk) 16:14, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Ilenart626, I reversed all my edits concerning the Moody data tabels. It is better to wait for clarity.--Kattesmile2 (talk) 22:02, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
