Kate's edits for Bio in bold
[edit]Shelley Adler, the wife of former Congressman, John Adler, who passed away on April 4, 2011, is currently running for Congress in (insert district) for the 2012 Congressional elections. Shelley Adler met her husband at Harvard Law, where they co-edited The Harvard Civil-Rights Liberties Law Review together. After graduating with honors and serving as a judicial clerk in Federal District Court judge in Washington, DC, the couple married and moved to South Jersey where they started a family.[2] Shelly Adler has four sons. Is the Bio supposed to be the beginning to the new article? If so then it should be more general. If not, then I believe you should create an opener and resubmit that information when creating this new page. Can you share the comments from Wiki as to why the article was rejected? That way I can assist you in that aspect too.

Shelley Adler will be facing her late husband's former political rival, whom he lost to, Jon Runyan (the incumbent??). Shelley Adler challenges his 3rd District seat in New Jersey in 2012 (edit this sentence and use it earlier in paragraph for clarity for the reader). Adler will continue to pursue similar policies her husband supported.(Explain and give examples of policies either here or in other sections i.e. her stance on x,y,z (health care, local politics, budget, etc)) [8]. Would everyone say this? Democrats and Republicans? If this is something that Emily's List said you could add this as information to their supoort. -"Emily's List supports Shelly Adler because she advocated for women and families by supporting (example legislation) which helpes womeen.). Overall edit
[edit]Katie great job researching unknown new candidate in such detail! I think this article would be stronger if you created full wiki based on politicians of similar rank. I also think adding more information would help you get closer to the word count of 500. Currently then information you provided for edits is only 280 words. Look at other congresswoman's pages and note the structure of the article. Create a brief summary on her to start, then add the bio about her personal life, then add information about her career, then go more in depth on campaign finances, support, and possible her stance on legislation. Lastly, remember that most people who read this article don't know who Shelley Adler is. Try to provide specific examples to support claims to avoid sounding bias. Overall great job. I think if the wiki people see a comprehensive article with more information they will accept the article if you choose to submit it again!Katemolly (talk) 16:40, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
