From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

T. Wildman & Sons were specialists in the manufacture of bobbins for the textile industry. They manufactured all kinds of shielded Ring bobbins (twist and weft), tubes and pirns. The firm was established in 1859.[1]

In 1872, Mr Thomas Wildman purchased Willow Mill, located at Copy Lane,Caton-with-Littledale,LA2 9QA, and the manufacturing was moved here. [2]

With the decline of the textile industry, the mill moved to the manufacture of brushes, which was continued until the close of the mill in 1973. A part of the contents of the mill was donated to Lancashire County Council Museum Service. [1]

Hi Joanna,

I'm one of the Andys from today. I've just attempted to fix your edit, is what you intended? For future reference you need put the apostrophes on either side of the text you want in bold. If I can help with anything just leave a message on my talk page. --Trappedinburnley (talk) 20:07, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Judges' Lodgings

[edit]

The reason I'm not sure whether I am coming is that I am having a minor operation on Monday (in Lancaster as it happens), but I hope to be back in action by the 20th. -Thoughtfortheday (talk) 09:01, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Thoughtfortheday You have been booked in, so just let me know nearer the day if you can't come. It would be great to meet you. Jhayward001 (talk) 13:00, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for booking me in. The op went OK, so I am pretty certain to be there. -Thoughtfortheday (talk) 15:15, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

GLAM/Clitheroe Castle Museum

[edit]

I moved the page to User:Jhayward001/Glam. That isn't an article and should be in article space. Should go somewhere in Wikipedia space (ie WP: or WikiPedia:) Bgwhite (talk) 07:21, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Bgwhite for the advice. I think I've found out where I should have put it - under Wikipedia:Meeting. Jhayward001 (talk) 10:28, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invitation. The date doesn't look right, tho. -Thoughtfortheday (talk) 15:54, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you User talk:thoughtfortheday and User talk:PamD. Apologies. Yes it should have read 26th September. I have now changed the page. Jhayward001 (talk) 07:38, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good luck with the event! The museum is a lovely place, and make sure to take lots of photos ;-) Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 09:28, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Joanna, thanks for the invite, I need to ponder, but hopefully I can make it. I notice you've had some difficulty getting this set-up. Some of the confusion seems to be because you've ended up with two copies of the page. The correct version is at Wikipedia:GLAM/Clitheroe Castle Museum, I've blanked the version in your userspace and moved @Thoughtfortheday's name. --Trappedinburnley (talk) 16:28, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for moving my name. I hadn't twigged where the other page was. -Thoughtfortheday (talk) 21:22, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
