Research for 2 deleted articles
[edit]Hi there, Hack. I am wanting to get access to two deleted articles - and notice that you are one of the contributors within the discussion that led to one of the articles being deleted.
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Distance Derby
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Iron Ore Cup (2nd nomination)
I am not looking at resurrecting the article at all, I just want to look at the information, and especially the quality of the references that were used for the articles, with a view to adding/strengthening some of this information onto individual Club articles. Whilst i agree that these articles may not have been noteworthy in their own right, it may be appropriate to have a properly referenced sentence or two within the article on the particluar Clubs. How do you get access to a deleted article ? Can you help me here ? Matilda Maniac (talk) 09:21, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Matilda Maniac: you will need to get an admin for this. What they usually do is to restore the content, then move it to your userspace. Hack (talk) 12:54, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. - I have had it explained to me why and how the rail edits were made, less likely a sock, less likely pta... interesting version of how new eds are trained to prepare offline so their edits dont get into new ed/new article chaos... interesting... JarrahTree 13:40, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: so confirmed sockpuppet? Hack (talk) 09:08, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
- messy tale, bit like the wattle grove fire or tommorows expected maximum. cenfin8 was confirmed, a more recent has yet have to be confirmed by checkuser, (slow and delayed, probably silly season system) and the recent edits arrived so recent with loads and loads, figured the making allowances for vis a vis my explanation above, is actually wrong, the sock was trying to dump stuff before anyone could guess what was going on. for updates to the sorry tale try http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/D47817 JarrahTree 09:18, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Aussie rules footballers from XXX
[edit]Just noticed you are reallocating footballers to being from a city, not just the state. As state representation has in the past, and may in the future, be relevant, please don't remove the state categories. Leave them in the by state, and if you think that a by city is worthwhile, then add that too. The-Pope (talk) 17:26, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Peter Vogler
[edit]The article Peter Vogler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Subject fails GNG and no RS can be found
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. K.e.coffman (talk) 00:31, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
