Kaczynski copyedit

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your recent copyedit of the Ted Kaczynski article. I just wanted to bring to your attention that you changed text in a quote, which should not be copyedited in the same way as the body of the article. I've reverted that part of the edit - when editing, especially on Good/Featured articles, please be careful with the changes you make. AviationFreak💬 03:49, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out my mistake and for taking the time to revert it. I hadn’t realized the text was part of a quote and will be more careful in the future, especially when editing Featured/Good articles. I appreciate your message and will learn from this. — Grey (talk) 16:10, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I've noticed that you have been making small changes to highly rated articles. Are you making edits simply to get your edit count high? Please only make edits that are necessary. I've noticed you are removing and adding words that don't really need to be removed. Ktkvtsh (talk) 02:20, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@GreysonMB, please stop making small edits to articles that are unnecessary. You have been removing or adding words where the sentence was fine as is. Are you trying to get your edit count higher? Don’t edit just for the sake of doing it. To me, it appears you are clicking through random pages and finding sentences you can remove or add words for the sake of “copy editing.” Please refrain from that. There are more constructive ways to edit.
I am sure you have good intentions. I’d love to hear more about your want to edit and help you learn along the way. Best, Ktkvtsh (talk) 02:38, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
