File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Hypnogaja Truth Decay.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. [midnight comet] [talk] 13:17, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Vitam et Mortem requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File permission problem with File:Death Metal 666.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Death Metal 666.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Orphaned non-free media (File:Prosevere_Versus_EP.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Prosevere_Versus_EP.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 22:21, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Save Our Souls, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Save Our Souls. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

The article Gotham Records (Santa Monica) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable record label. no significant bands signed. no independent coverage in reliable sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Rich Liegey has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ttonyb (talk) 19:20, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Vampires Everywhere! requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the importance of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Matt Hyde (British producer)

[edit]

I've made some edits to your Matt Hyde (British producer) article and it just seems to need one thing. There was a primary source listed for the people / groups that Hyde has worked with, from Hyde's own website. What's needed is a WP:Secondary source such as a newspaper, journal or magazine article or a book. If you need further help, let me know.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:35, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Betraying the Martyrs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable band and lack of sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Nomination of Overthrust (band) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Overthrust (band) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Overthrust (band) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. TheLongTone (talk) 15:45, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Paddock Park, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alternative Press. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Follow My Lead (band)

[edit]

Hello Goroth,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Follow My Lead (band) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. DYK for Roselia (band)

On 1 June 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Roselia (band), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the members of the bands Poppin'Party and Roselia are voice actresses in the BanG Dream! anime series who can play their characters' instruments in live concerts? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Roselia (band). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Roselia (band)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Devil Within moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Devil Within, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ways to improve Undead Corporation

[edit]

Hello, Goroth,

Thank you for creating Undead Corporation.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The lede is too short and doesn't cover adequately the history section, it could be expanded slightly. Further, most of the page's refs depend on a single source (JaME-world) not listed on WP:A/S. However, IMHO one of its albums (No Antidote) being ranked 73rd on the chart meets the music guidelines WP:NMUSIC, so I've marked this as reviewed.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|VickKiang}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

New article to create for you

[edit]

Hi @Goroth can you create seinen manga Tengen Hero Wars please? Venom5122 (talk) 20:41, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi@Venom5122, thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately, I am not familiar the guidelines of notability here on en:WP as I am normally writing at German Wikipedia and only do translations of German-language articles occassionally. Therefore, I am afraid that I am not be of help. I do not even know if the article about Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon is notable but it seems that it is.
Neithertheless, I did some research on the work you asked to start an article. According to ANN, there are currently four volumes published and it received an English-language localization. I guess, it is not enough, yet. But as I said earlier, I am not familiar with the guidelines here. --Goroth (talk) 20:54, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AnimaniA (magazine) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to AnimaniA (magazine). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 09:40, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeraxmoira: I found some literature which provided some information about the magazine. I added them with the pages where the information is found. According to Casey Brienza, AnimaniA was one of Germany's fan zines pioneering manga in Germany. Please move the article back to name space. --Goroth (talk) 11:03, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Goroth, I see that you have already submitted it for review, so I am going to leave it there. During my initial patrol, only 4 sources were mentioned, with 1 being a database entry, 3rd a blog, and the 4th being about the awards. If you are actively working on the article in mainspace, please use the Template:In use and Template:Under construction accordingly. Cheers Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:59, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the article I translated did not even have sources I could have used. And Google was not helpful either. I found theses sources at Google books. There were two more but those had no previews so I could not check them out. --Goroth (talk) 08:12, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not perform cut-and-paste moves

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Kimiyo a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Ss112 04:50, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ss112: This is the only article I moved using copy editing. I was unable to use the "move" function as the initial information were added to a disambiguation-like page. I was not aware that there is a function to merge the article history. Thank you for letting me know about it. Kindest regards. --Goroth (talk) 06:05, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Falling in Reverse discography

[edit]

In regards to Falling in Reverse discography, when you remove a column, please remove all dashes for that column. The table became misformatted after your removal of the German rock chart as you only removed the chart entries in that column and not the dashes as well. Ss112 04:50, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for solving the issue my edit has caused. I am German and we do not have an official rock music charts. The only genre-based charts in Germany are the Schlager Singles charts (discontinued), the Conservative Pop Single charts, the Dance Singles charts and the Classical charts (albums only).
