A tag has been placed on File:Pankaj Singh.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Mushroom9

[edit]

Yes, please go ahead and recreate them. The only reason these pages were deleted is because Mushroom9 wrote them, there's nothing to stop anyone else from writing articles about those topics. Hut 8.5 09:19, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ranji Trophy

[edit]

Hi. I keep getting edit conflicts with you - as you can see, I've been updating this for a while now. Are you able to help out with some of the earlier editions of the tournament, to add scores, etc? For example, the 2011–12 Ranji Trophy doesn't have any real info. Thanks. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 09:25, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Lugnuts, Sure, I will work on the 2011–12 Ranji Trophy. Also I would like to have your opinion for this scenario- "what should we do if 2 players have the same stats? i.e. 2 Batsman with same runs in same no. of balls or 2 bowlers have same no. of wickets and they have given same no. of runs. Who will be the part of scorecard?" Thanks. :) RG | (talk) 09:44, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That would be great - thanks! For guidance on the same scores/wickets with the same balls, see Template:Single-innings_cricket_match/doc#Parameters. Basically list both of them with a break parameter. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 10:00, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well thanks for ignoring me and creating constant edit-conflicts. Lugnuts Precious bodily fluids 11:31, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Navaniat Singh

[edit]

The article Navaniat Singh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

IMDB is not an acceptable source; please cite the article to newspapers, magazines, etc that discuss Singh and his accomplishments.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:37, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there re: these changes, though you obviously mean well, we don't use blogs or other user-generated content like IMDb as references. We only care what reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about a subject. This typically includes mainstream news sites, mainstream magazines, books, etc. Since anyone can start and call himself an expert on any subject, we simply can't trust what these faceless sources have to say, and in many cases, they might be pulling information directly from Wikipedia, which makes them a circular reference. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:03, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please the overall record on the indian cricket team records page, it is important for a team, also all records of indian team can be viewed at a glance. Hope you will agree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kishan Agrawal (talkcontribs) 14:37, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Ranji Trophy triple centuries, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Punjab cricket team (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
