Math
[edit]I actually know nothing of the math symbols they use...butlooking at the "insert" section below the editing box, I note that there are a number of symbols available, including this one (which is the first one you can click on): – I have a feeling that it might be what you are looking for, there is also this...a little further down the top row: −. From here, they look the same to me. I hope that helps some. Kukini 15:42, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Generalized Verma module
[edit]Thanks for an interesting article about GVM! In the article by Lepowsky it seems that the Lie algebra should be over the complex numbers (or field of characteristic zero). I guess the results about honomorpisms are valid in this setting. Is this correct? Perhaps it should be added to the article.
Are there any other good reference other than Lepowsky's paper? Pierreback 19:03, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Weight space
[edit]A tag has been placed on Weight space, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion A1.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Darkwind (talk) 03:15, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Parabolic Geometry
[edit]There seems to be some confusion on the page you modified called Parabolic Geometry. Please discuss it on the talk page for Euclidean Geometry. Bob the Wikipedian, the Tree of Life WikiDragon (talk) 20:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
cohomotopy
[edit]No time to say more, but: Saying that H1(X; Z) is the same as pi 1(X) = maps to S1 is the same as saying that S1 is a K(Z,1), an Eilenberg–MacLane space, which can be shown by the long exact sequence of a fibration applied to the fibration Z -->R-->S1 . Explicitly, you just pull back a generator of H1(S1,Z) by the map X-->S1 an element of the cohomotopy group, to get an element of H1(X,Z) - that's the map from pi1 to H1.John Z (talk) 21:35, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot! Bye, Peter
Hello.
Please note that I have moved Region (Analysis) to Region (mathematical analysis). There were two problems with the title:
- The initial "a" was incorrectly capitalized, in violation of WP:MOS;
- The word "analysis" has many meanings in many fields other than mathematics, so the title fails to identify the topic as mathematics.

- I agree, thank you. Franp9am (talk) 05:19, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
You are involved in a recently filed request for arbitration. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case#Military Occupation of Gaza and, if you wish to do so, enter your statement and any other material you wish to submit to the Arbitration Committee. As threaded discussion is not permitted in most arbitration pages please ensure that you make all comments in your own section only. Additionally, the guide to arbitration and the Arbitration Committee's procedures may be of use.
Thanks,

On Arbitration pages, there are often areas of the case which are reserved for administrator or arbitrator discussion. If you would like to comment on a specific appeal, please create a separate section for your remarks. Liz Read! Talk! 21:19, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- That section starts with This section is to be edited only by uninvolved administrators. Comments by others will be moved to the sections above. While I missed it, it would be more polite from you to move it, not to revert. Franp9am (talk) 21:25, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, that was my mistake. When I realized that and returned to the page, I found you had reposted your statement. I know I won't make that mistake again. My apologies. Liz Read! Talk! 23:19, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- No problem, thx for the comment :) Franp9am (talk) 23:23, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello
[edit]Hey hows it going? I just looked at your editing history and noticed that while you joined in 2006 you've not made very many edits, essentially suggesting you are basically a new user to the English wikipedia. You've said things that suggest that you may be interested in an RFC and as a "new user" you may not know how. Would you like help in launching one? You can read more of how to do so at WP:RFC. If you need any assistance feel free to ask on my talk page or consider using the WP:TEAHOUSE. Take it easy.-Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 22:35, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. Depends on whether I will be able to allocate enough time and find collegues who would help me. But yes, a RfC for the status of Gaza and East Jerusalem would be better than never-ending disputes on all sites. Franp9am (talk) 22:54, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that this never ending dispute will only end when the disturbance on the ground ends. It will only end to some extent then. There is no end all be all on wikipedia, WP:CCC consensus can change. There is a extent after a consensus is achieved thru certain means that it becomes disruptive to try to change the consensus. But this is limited to recent Consensus 6 months down the road or a year it certainly wouldn't be disruptive. -Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 00:28, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
