A tag has been placed on Draft:Tony Fernandez (art critique), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Fortesounds, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:35, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. So many problems.

  • Your user name appears to be the name of a company, which is not permitted. However, you don't appear to have promoted the company, so I've only blocked the user name, I haven't prevented you from creating a new account which complies with our username policy, instructions above.
  • What is an "art critique"? Did you mean "critic"?

I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to him or aan associated company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him. You had no references of any kind.Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
  • "I truly believe that it will be of use & interest to a small niche going forward." doesn't have anything to do with the notability criteria
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections. That's particularly the case when they links to YouTube or other similar sites.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: Establishing his reputation... flamboyant scholar... over the top personality... fanbase grew to a international footing... viral trend... internet craze... in the flamboyant character himself— You said "no way connected to the subject, personally or professionally so can in no way be advertising." That's clearly not the case. If I said "Vote for Trump", that would be treated as spam even though I'm not even an American.
  • the images at least appear to be copyright violation. You claim that they are your own work, but also that they are by Fernandez, so unless you are him, you are posting a misleading rationale. Copyrighted text or images are not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that they are public domain. We require that text and images posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial but there is no indication that the copied image is actually public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted images to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
  • You claim that you have no conflict of interest, but you refer to him throughout by his first name, which is a bit matey to say the least, and you claim his images as your own, so you'll forgive me if I'm sceptical about your denials. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block.

We often restore deleted text on request, but for legal reasons we don't do so for copyright violations, and the images at least are clearly not public domain, nor your own to donate. In any case, there was little factual content in your draft, so better to start from scratch.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above
