Hello, I'm Mr.Sarcastic. I noticed that in this edit to Bandbudh Aur Budbak, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mr.Sarcastic (talk) 14:32, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

I am sorry for that. I shall make sure about your point. Thank you. Excellenc1 (talk) 14:46, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

Suppressed edits

Hi, Excellenc1, I have unfortunately had to suppress some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. For some useful information on privacy and safety, you can take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages! PhilKnight (talk) 12:26, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Thank you Philknight for editing my page so as to hide the personal information. I won't re-add them. Excellenc1 (talk) 11:21, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Andrew Lapuka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:15, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

I have contested the nomination. Please see Talk:Andrew Lapuka. My article is not deleted yet even after your speedy deletion notice. What do I understand by this? Excellenc1 (talk) 07:29, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
There is nothing to 'understand by this'. The speedy request stays up there until (whichever comes first): someone (other than you) removes it; or an administrator comes along and either agrees with it, in which case they delete the article; or the admin disagrees with it, removes the tag, and takes whatever other steps they see fit. That's all there is to it. Best, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:54, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Personal details

Please read "The most useful piece of advice", near the top of WP:YOUNG, and please take it seriously. -- Hoary (talk) 05:35, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

@Hoary: But my userpage does not contain my real name, age, location (except country) and IP address. If you please let me know where have I given such info I'll do the needful. (Maybe you're talking about school's name being shown, I'll remove it.) Thank you! Excellenc1 (talk) 06:12, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Edit: Sorry I didn't notice that you had taken down the info, I thought it was me who did it. Excellenc1 (talk) 06:13, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Older versions that were still visible did provide your real name (or something looking like it); the version that was current two hours ago gave other personal information. Perhaps you are recommending the editing of Wikipedia to some of your friends. If so, thank you -- but please encourage them, too, to read WP:YOUNG. -- Hoary (talk) 07:04, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Maxilly-sur-Saône, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Saint-Sauveur. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:14, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Results tables

Hello. Just to let you know, there is a template that allows easy creation of consistent results tables. I've formatted 2004 Upper Normandy regional election and 2004 Aquitaine regional election in this way. It automatically adds party colours and calculates percentages and totals for you (the latter helps spot mistakes in entering numbers as the total will be wrong if there is a transcription error). Cheers, Number 57 00:06, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

A couple of tips – remember to pipe the links of parties that have been renamed (in 2004 Picardy regional election you left the party name in the table as 'National Rally' instead of piping it to National Front). Also, try to make the code of the table a bit neater; this is what the Picardy one look like, making it very hard for other editors to edit, this is something like you should aim for. The issue might be using visual editor, so if you can use the normal editor (at least just for the table), that might help. Cheers, Number 57 20:10, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

@Number 57: As for tables in source edit, I did make it neater in my articles but for some reason, they change back to their original 'clustered' form. Excellenc1📞 03:30, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

No problem. I'm guess it's because you're using visual editor. This sometimes causes issues with template coding. Cheers, Number 57 11:17, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

PS, I think you might have misunderstood what I meant about piping links. I meant using code like [[National Rally|National Front]] to link to the party on articles where you have to use its former name. Cheers, Number 57 07:51, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't realise the National Rally was its former name. I'll take care henceforth. Excellenc1📞 08:13, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
National Front was its former name. National Rally is the current name. Cheers, Number 57 10:16, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Plant species taxoboxes

Hi, some points about creating taxoboxes for plant species using {{Speciesbox}}:

  • the required parameter is |taxon=; |name= is unnecessary unless different from the taxon name
  • {{Italic title}} isn't needed with {{Speciesbox}} (except in very, very special cases)
  • botanical authorities use the standard abbreviations given in the International Plant Names Index, which you will find at IPNI or at Plants of the World Online, for example; they do not include years, unlike zoological authorities.

As an example, have a look at Ceropegia anjanerica which I've fixed. Keep up the good work! Peter coxhead (talk) 08:30, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
