Deletion discussion about Possession (Film 2019)
[edit]Hello, Elissaarko17,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Slatersteven and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Possession (Film 2019) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome over Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Possession (Film 2019) .
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slatersteven}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

Thanks for reaching out. we are producers on the film and wanting to list the project. I am unclear on why this is getting rejected. This is all factual information, with no propagnada. Would be great to get some insight. Elissaarko17 (talk) 18:27, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
Manhunt (Film 2019) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Manhunt (Film 2019), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Article deletions
[edit]I wanted to explain why the articles keep getting deleted or rejected. The long and short of this is that ultimately there just isn't enough coverage to show where the films are notable at this point in time. In order to pass notability guidelines for films the movie would have had to receive a lot of coverage in independent and reliable sources such as newspaper articles, reviews from film websites deemed reliable, and so on. Unreleased films are generally not considered notable unless there's a lot of coverage for them and principal filming has started. To give you an idea of how steep of a hill this can be to overcome, several well known blockbuster films like the Marvel superhero movies did not have an article until they began principal filming. The coverage for them was heavy to be sure, but up until that point they just didn't meet notability guidelines. This pamphlet goes over the notability guidelines laid out at WP:NFILM. I'd definitely read both, but the pamphlet may make it easier to get through the main page.
Now pertaining to your conflict of interest, keep in mind that while you can still edit with a conflict of interest, you will need to make sure that you follow guidelines extremely closely. Making articles without reading over the guidelines can backfire, as you're seeing now, as the pages will be very likely to be deleted and can also come across as you being her solely to promote the movies and the company. While there's definitely an obvious boost to having pages on places like Wikipedia, it's important to make sure that you do things properly. You need to clearly disclose your conflict of interest on the talk page of articles, read over the guidelines at the page on editing with a conflict of interest, and go through one of the training/guideline overviews, which can be found here and here. I will note that the second one is more aimed at students, but both would give a good starting overview of policies. I would also heavily utilize the Teahouse, which is aimed at helping editors who are newer or just have general questions they want answered. Speedy deletion nomination of Unhinged (2019 film)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Unhinged (2019 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
