Hello, I'm Kevin12xd. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to FHA insured loan because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Kevin12xd (talk) (contribs) 02:44, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to FHA insured loan. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted all of your edits that include links to NCFHAexpert. "http://ncfhaexpert.com/" is not a reliable source for the information you are adding, please do not use it as a reference. You have repeatedly inserted links to the NCFHAexpert website in the following articles: FHA insured loan, Mortgage Credit Certificate, VA loan, and USDA Rural Development between the dates of October 11, 2012 and December 28, 2012. Please try to contribute to these articles in another way, using reliable sources (WP:RELIABLE). Your efforts as they stand strongly appear to be WP:REFSPAM, but with better sources they could be worthwhile contributions to Wikipedia. Wieldthespade (talk) 06:10, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on NC Housing Finance Agency, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  GILO   A&E 21:04, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Student loan. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Request reason:

Dear sir - I'm not sure I understand... I thought that simply adding information, without reference for more information was a problem. Many of the changes this month were made to update outdated information - for instance, the USDA Home Loan Map changes are now scheduled to go into effect on January 15, 2014 - not October 1, 2013. I diligently try and keep information that I've added correct. I find that on the FHA page (for instance) the information submitted by my competitor - The Mortgage Reports - is always shown with reference to his topic. The information that I've added is completely on topic, and relevant. For instance, Student loan payments are a big problem right now for many people who are applying for a mortgage loan. I'll gladly add the information about how deferred loans are being reviewed for a mortgage in another area, or I can start a page for qualifying for a mortgage when you have substantial student loan debt. I'd genuinely like to contribute, and I'd like to better understand how contributions from an Identical Source are allowed and mine are not - is it a matter of contributing over time without someone disputing that you know what you're talking about? Because I'm very certain that when it comes to FHA loan, VA loans, USDA Loans, First Time Home Buyer Programs and PMI - I am an authority. I started in the mortgage business when I was 15 years old. My dad originated the First Sale of Mortgage Backed Securities in the 1970s. I have much to offer, both in terms of history and working knowledge of the mortgage industry. I'm not out to simply promote our company. I have not been adding hyper links to our site, I'm only referencing for evidence to back up what I've said, provide more detail for those who are looking for it. Wikipedia is a no-follow - so I don't understand where I'm spamming?? Genuinely confused - Thank you for your time. Eleavor (talk) 9:35 pm, Today (UTC+0)

Virtually every edit you have made has been to include ncfhaexpert.com/ as a source - we call that citation spamming and regard it in the same light as any other attempt to advertise on Wikipedia. If you are to be unblocked, you will need to agree to avoid linking to or otherwise promoting your site here. As an aside, the presence of links to your competitors has no bearing on your block. Please see the guide to appeals before requesting another unblock. Yunshui  23:59, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As I understand it then - I can add information regarding (for instance) the fact that one of the best parts of FHA is non-occupying co-borrowers? And again, when I see "best practices" used by others - competitors or otherwise, I should just not worry about it??? There must be someone who is "deciding" what is important and what is not? Should I start a page, and then monitor who I am comfortable with as a contributor? Because there's tons of bad information on Wiki when it comes to Credit and Mortgage Lending. Am I not suppose to be fixing that???? My guess is, from what I'm reading, the answer is NO. I want to contribute - but I don't want to be second guessed from someone who knows nothing about the subject matter - at least not since 2006. Mortgage Lending has changed. Dramatically. When I am adding information about Single Parents, for instance, who are having issues getting mortgages - can I reference OTHER sources??? Thank you again for taking a few minutes to explain this. I'm sorry, but you are using self-published material and linking back to a site that promotes your commercial interests. You are, of course, welcome to contribute using reliable sources. If you can agree to stop adding material that you have a conflict of interest with, I have no doubt this account can be unblocked. Kuru (talk) 13:04, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We don't like the addition by an editor of links only to one place because it screams out Conflict of Interest - that is the interest in editing is not creating the encyclopaedia but promoting something outside. If you find a competitor pushing their sites, you can let us know. Very often, it's not the company posting - but if an editor has a very biased list of contributions, then... But that's where we are here, isn't it? A link to a page starting off "Our team offers FHA Cash Out Refinances" and continuing in the same vein isn't an unbiased source of information. It's an advert. We want references and links to be unbiased - Wikipedia isn't a collection of links to BloggsCo, FredBurgers, Julian's Ducklings and anything else that can be fitted in wherever possible. In an article about a company, there can be an External Link to that company. Other External Links should be to unbiased sites giving information but not selling anything. You would be welcome to reference other sources that were neutral, reliable and independent. But please remember that Wikipedia isn't a how to guide WP:NOTHOWTO. You can talk neutrally about different forms of mortgage, but not about how to fill in mortgage forms. Peridon (talk) 15:56, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay - the last reference makes the most sense to me. I do not want to add information about how to fill in mortgage forms, but there are some pretty highly important topics that should have information within Wikipedia. I am more than glad to simply reference the HUD, USDA sites, along with major news agency distribution. I have an additional question - I am quoted in major publications, so I assume I should not mention those in Wiki? Thanks for taking time to explain your points. If someone took a minute to read what I write - and the way I write - I think you would understand that I am not linking to ME, ME, ME, ME information - simply additional details about a program. I've had information with no reference deleted from Wikipedia because it talked about a subject that is very valid, but was a qualification that not everyone needs - for instance, non-occupying co-borrower, or refinancing Investment property with a FHA loan. Not all Banks offer these programs, however they clearly meet FHA Guidelines, and they are very much available in the Market Place - and they serve a great purpose. Eleavor, let me propose a way to see if you understand how best to act here. First off, since we've ignored you for almost a month, let me apologize: we never should have let you dangle for so long. Secondly, I'm guessing that it will be a while until you notice this (since we've not responded in almost a month, I don't expect you to check back every day), so I'd like you to let me know directly when you've responded. You can do this by linking my username in a signed post; the easiest way to do this is simply to type {{ping|Nyttend}} and follow it up with the four tildes for your signature, just as you did in the last unblock request. Now, as far as the merits of the unblock request: since you can still edit this talk page, I want you to show how you would improve a page. Find a page that you'd like to edit, and then copy its entire code here, below the "Edit demonstration" line. Then, edit away until you think that the text in that section is done. In my opinion, this will show that you've understood our policies and should be unblocked, or it will show that you still don't understand and shouldn't be unblocked. Finally, please use the "ping|Nyttend" thing when your page is ready to go. Nyttend (talk) 02:55, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
