Hello, Cbowers77. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of current NCAA Division II football coaches".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Abelmoschus Esculentus 09:16, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for creating John Dunn (American football).

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Mountain View High School (Utah) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click Publish Changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Onel5969}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Cbowers77 (talk)Hi Onel5969!

I deleted the proposal to delete on Lance Anderson based on his notoriety as the top assistant, associate head coach, and defensive coordinator at a power 5 conference school, in major college football. There is also a high probability that he will be a head coach in the near future. I also intend on going back and adding more references, and more material to the page.

Thanks! Cbowers77

A tag has been placed on Lance Anderson (American football) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Coaching tree feedback

[edit]

There are multiple discussions on "Coaching tree" sections of "CFB" coaches, including Jan 2020's Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football/Archive 23#Coaching tree list section which you may want to review, or open a new discussion at the WP:CFB project as appropriate.

Additionally, you are creating sections ala:

The two year values should be split by an endash which is slightly wider than a hyphen (see MOS:DATERANGE and En dash) and "Present" should be lowercase, ala:

Coaching trees

[edit]

Cbowers77, how's it going? I reverted a whole bunch of your recent edits in which you added coaching tree sections to bio articles. These "coaching trees" all lack sourcing to establish their notability and are most likely fancruft. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Coaching trees and the linked discussion for more on this. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mike Denbrock, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brian Kelly.

Hello, Cbowers77, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Slywriter, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Scott Symons (American football), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scott Symons (American football).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slywriter}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
