Louisville Leopard Percussionists

This band defintely meets WP:BAND notability, notably they are covered nationally and on an international level and have been the focus of a substantial portion of a broadcast on national level tv which HBO counts. In addition to regional coverage they have notable members, namely Hannah Welton. And as an aside for giggle take a look [[1]] (not for notability just enjoyment) (Hell in a Bucket talk) 13:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi Hell in a Bucket
I did look at the references before tagging the article - I can't see the first one as it is a dead tree publication, but the others have 120, 103 and 52 words respectively - not the "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic" normally required - hence the tag, but not a speedy nomination. I take your comment about HBO - but we could still do with some substantive content - was there a write up about the HBO programme? - Arjayay (talk) 14:01, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
It doesn't matter in all reality, the broadcast on HBO is enough to pass the guidelines for bands. For the rest do a simple google search there is loads more coverage out there I just choose not to add it. I choose a history piece, International piece and HBO. I write stubs. I add articles that I know are notable and then I let other editors fill them out. I only plant the seed, thanks for the response I understood why you did it and that's why I came here. I routinely tell new accounts don't remove the tag on your creation lol, just following my own advice. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 15:14, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Testicle

Thanks for your help with the edit request, however you overlooked the unlinking of the last two words, also you should not have introduced a pipe, as Bell-clapper deformity is a valid title for a future article. 119.76.65.14 (talk) 22:38, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

The fact that the second link is to the same article as the first redirect is not obvious to the reader, who might want to know about that subject but assumes we have no article on it - I half agree with your second point. Of course, as you are such a regular contributor and understand Wikipedia policies, you could create an account and make these changes yourself. - Arjayay (talk) 07:15, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
The second link should be unlinked as it is already linked in a prior section. Why do you half disagree with the second point? 119.76.65.14 (talk) 22:17, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
No, as explained above, the first use is a hidden link, so people looking for information about that are unaware we have that article - I repeat my question - why do you not create an account and make these changes yourself/ - Arjayay (talk) 07:17, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
The second link should be unlinked as it is already linked in a prior section. Why do you half disagree with the second point? Thanks (but no thanks) for the user account suggestion. 119.76.65.14 (talk) 08:34, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Rexwaan
As repeatedly explained to you, and User:182.178.200.94, the article clearly states, at both the top and bottom of that list:-
<!-- ONLY ADD A PERSON TO THIS LIST IF THEY ALREADY HAVE AN ARTICLE IN THE ENGLISH WIKIPEDIA -->
Any names without articles, like Rana muhammad aslam will, therefore, be removed - this is the agreed consensus, not just my opinion.
If you think this person meets our notability requirements (please see WP:BIO) than please write the article first - and, when the article has been accepted, their name can then be added. - Arjayay (talk) 18:31, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

Question

How to I delete a page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nurulhuda859 (talkcontribs) 14:01, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Nurulhuda859 - it depends why you think it should be deleted - if it is Mujahidnagar - I have nominated that for deletion as you created it and then blanked it.
If it is another article, please tell me which article and explain why you think it should be deleted - or see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion although that can be confusing - Arjayay (talk) 14:46, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for help me. Yes I wanted to delete Mujahidnagar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nurulhuda859 (talkcontribs) 15:24, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

Beau Geste would despair!

Hi Arjayay - thanks for your support re OJOM's endless flow of poor English, bad grammar and inaccurate facts re (of all subjects) the French Foreign Legion. As we have both commented he probably means well, and as an apparently French editor he probably has access to sources unavailable to many of us. It just a pity that he has to keep effectively vandalizing what was for a long time a well-written article (though not by me). Buistr (talk) 09:59, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Buistr - I agree, I'm sure he mans well, albeit he is adding to it, re-writing it and adding superfluous links, in a rather promotional, jingoistic, way.
I just wish we could get him to understand that longer is not necessarily better - especially for people on mobile devices, for some of whom the article is now too long to download and read at all.
I think my next move will be to try and reduce the overlinking - some sections, like the Para Foreign Legion subsection of French Foreign Legion#Algerian War 1954 - 1962 are a sea of blue - Arjayay (talk) 10:21, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Oh merde - the auto spell-corrector changed my edit summary from "sacre bleu" to "scare bleu" - Arjayay (talk) 10:30, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Noticed you have previously dealt with Evangp about changing article names. This user changed Rock City (club) to Rock City (nightclub), claiming it better described the venue. However, it is primarly a music venue which also happens to host club nights = like most music venues. There are many more articles still linking to the original article page. I tried to change it myself, but apparently I don't know how to do it correctly.

Bitterpillsandalcohol (talk) 12:39, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Bitterpillsandalcohol - thanks for the post.
Although it was 14 months ago, I remember that move was - Roundhouse (venue) - which was a clear open and shut case, as there had been a discussion at Talk:Roundhouse (venue) arriving at a consensus which he totally ignored. I see he likes moving pages - he moved 7 pages on 3 July 2014, including Rock City (club) and Roundhouse (venue) - but doesn't do any of the required tidying up afterwards.
Looking at the "What links here" (under Tools in the LH column) at Rock City (nightclub) there are far more links to Rock City (club) that are redirected, than links to Rock City (nightclub) itself.
There are also several redirects via Nottingham Rock City and others via Rock City, Nottingham, Rock City (Nottingham) and Heart of the Midlands Club
Looking at the venues website it is used for a multitude of uses but they don't seem to use any title other than Rock City, so we can't argue that a move is in accordance with the venue's own description.
Assuming you don't prefer Nottingham Rock City I think it should be moved back to Rock City (club) - all of these other titles will be redirected back to the new title. However, to avoid arguments, I have started a discussion about the move at Talk:Rock City (nightclub) - join in and, provided there are no objections, in say 10 days, it can be moved - Arjayay (talk) 14:30, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Edit semi-protected

Hello, I'm sorry, but I'm not so experienced in this matters. How to request an edit to a semi-protected page? Best regards Jirka.h23 (talk) 09:35, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Jirka.h23 thanks for your post
Although you didn't say, I assume you are talking about Potential superpowers - which currently is not semi-protected, but under Pending Changes which you can find information about here.
However, as you are an WP:Autoconfirmed user, with over 2700 edits in 6 years, you should be able to edit that page, and any semi-protected page, in the normal way. The only pages you will not be able to edit are fully protected pages - see WP:FULL which only an administrator can edit.
If you are having a problem, please tell me which page, and what the problem is, and I will try and help, although I am off for the next 30 hours - but you could ask at WP:Help desk whilst I am away. - Arjayay (talk) 13:12, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
I did not express myself well, I meant how to add a request to be this page semi-protected. There was a problem with one anonymous ip that was constantly without explanation tried to change whole article. Or I can lock this page, even if I am not an admin? I deal with such a thing for the first time. Jirka.h23 (talk) 05:34, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
OK Jirka.h23 - I understand now.
The page is already under Pending changes protection, so the edits by the IP will not appear in the page seen by most readers. Only when the changes have been reviewed by an editor with reviewer rights - who will accept or reject the pending changes - will they appear in all copies of the page.
If you think this is inadequate you can apply for full semi-protection at requests for page protection but you will need to show that there have been significant problems - Arjayay (talk) 12:31, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your helpful explanation. However, I think that I will keep this page as it is now, because it's only one user and not various IP users. Thank you for your time. Jirka.h23 (talk) 05:04, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

List of Alumni

Why do you keep undoing the list? Are you aware of the alumni better than an alumnus? The page is a work in progress and not all entries have a separate wikipedia page, which is the reason I'm building it up from scratch. STOP MAKING CHANGES that really should not be your concern. Thank you!

Hello User:Bakshir
Firstly; please put new posts on talk pages in a separate section - I have added the title.
Secondly; please sign all posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which will add your signature and a timestamp.
Thirdly; please try to understand that someone unconnected with the school is in a much better position to decide what should be included, than someone like you who is connected, as you have a WP:Conflict of interest in editing the article, and cannot do so from a WP:Neutral point of view.
Fourthly; please read WP:OWN - you may have started the article, but you do not own it and it is Wikipedia's criteria that decide what is included or excluded - not you.
Fifthly; please read Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists particularly the section WP:LISTPEOPLE which explains that people must meet Wikipedia:Notability (people).
Finally; All additions to Wikipedia articles should cite reliable, independent sources - additions without such sources will be removed and editors continually adding unsourced material will be blocked.
Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 14:32, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Avoiding an edit war at Lavdrim Muhaxheri

Hello, Arjayay, and thanks for all your great work keeping Wikipedia articles correct and within policy. I know I already pinged you about this article (via its talk page) and I understand you may not want to get involved for a variety of reasons. (Personally I find the article's subject matter very unpleasant and am only working on it because I feel someone needs to.) At the moment only and KewinLiam/KewinRozz (they have two accounts for some unexplained reason, though I've seen no signs of abuse) and I are editing the article, and I am getting nowhere trying to get them to understand and follow Wikipedia policies. Leery of getting into an edit war, I have taken to refraining from correcting KewinRozz's edits, but that's not an optimal solution. If you're not interested in intervening, could you at least suggest other steps I could take? I've actually never been in a near-edit-war situation before, so I'm a bit lost as to what options I have other than edit warring or doing nothing. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can offer. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 18:48, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi User:GrammarFascist - Thanks for the post.
I have been keeping an eye on the article and most, but certainly not all, of the edits appear constructive - adding information to references etc., although "reliable sources" in a topic like this are few and far between. Is there any particular aspect or "mission creep" that is worrying you? - take your time in replying, I'm about to be off for the next 12 hours - Arjayay (talk) 19:31, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Hoshiarpur

Hello Arjayay. I am contacting you regarding my recent changes to the Hoshiarpur. I initially reverted to the version saved by you on 09:11, 20 September 2015‎ with the clear disclaimer "Last known good, statistics may need to be refactored" due to recent inappropriate changes by Spongeboyahoy (talk · contribs) who will likely be blocked if their disruptive pattern of behavior continues. I trust that you have reverted to the correct version, and please accept my apologies if there was any confusion about this. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 22:58, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

No worries User:Yamaguchi先生, rather than just reverting Spongeboyahoy's last edit I went back to the census and used the actual figures. The numbers had been changed several times, and as often happens in Indian articles the numbers are randomly increased. The article had said "189,731 out of which 99267 were males and 90044" which does not add up. The actual census states "168,443 out of which 88,290 were males and 80,153" - Arjayay (talk) 11:51, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

Relief India Trust

Making unsupported statements more conditional by adding "claims that" or similar is not weasel words, it's an attempt to make an already promotional article less so. WP:NPOV is policy, not a personal opinion. Giving the edit warring on this article, significant changes must be discussed on the talk page. It's probably only a matter of time before I block someone for edit warring rather than talking Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:38, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

OK, User:Jimfbleak I still don't see how it is WP:NPOV to state the purpose as "Claimed to be betterment of Disempowered" without a reliable source - but, as shown by my leaving the last revert, I'll agree to disagree. - Arjayay (talk) 16:47, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello, how should we properly cite information for changes we would like to make on the Religion page (semi-protected) as part of a course project? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Religion301 (talkcontribs) 23:31, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Religion301, please put new posts at the bottom and please sign all posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which will add your signature and a timestamp.
The direct answer to your question is at Help:Referencing for beginners
However, the Religion page is particularly sensitive, and, as has already been explained to you at Talk:Religion, anything other than very trivial changes will need consensus before they are added.
This is NOT a good page to try and edit as part of a "course project". - Arjayay (talk) 08:21, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for the notice! I did find out about it... but by then it was too late. Is there a bot that could mass-correct the misspelling? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:27, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi WhisperToMe - not that I know of - Wikipedia seems nervous of bots correcting spellings as there are so many "correct" misspellings - in quotations, foreign languages, rap-songs etc.
As stated above I have adopted Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/R so can tell you there were no uses of "retreved" yesterday (I'm having trouble telling you this as my spellcheck keeps correcting it)

Man's All's Well That Ends Well

Hello,

Yes I saw you remove some of what I'd written about the line-up issue and I'll admit "fair enough" as it was speculative. I had actually forgotten I'd done the top bit anyway as I've been more concerned with getting the new track listing correct. I've completed now what I think is sufficient to add the re-release of the album with a link to such information. I do mention the fact Micky Jones was the only member to never leave the band, which any fan should know, and the other information I personally do not consider "speculative" with the way I have stated it.

I hope we can be in agreement with this as Ive restarted Editing music on Wiki after a few years of not being active and couldn't reinstate my old log in.

I'm and Australian musician and was a "roadie" for years also and have a somewhat semi professional part in the industry still and started editing certain music pages as they were just plain wrong, IE the ACDC album For Those About To Rock does not have We Salute You as part of the actual album title but is part of the song title and this was a disagreement with the original author that came down to they are an Australian band and the pressings outside of Australia are irrelevant to authenticity of the original.

I'm an easy going person but I take a very strong stance on music that's Australian being represented by non-Australians as the correct version if it differs from the Australian version. I have a pathological hatred of non indigenous peoples of the band in question being represented as factually more correct by someone who is a fan instead of fellow citizen, and as such I accept your removal of my comments without issue and don't quite recall why I was even editing the top part of the page, as all I was there to do was extend the new release, so my apologies.

Hope we can collaborate in good standings and all the best.

Nuro — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nuro Dragonfly (talkcontribs) 00:21, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi Nuro Dragonfly
Wikipedia has become more "encyclopedic" in the last few years, so I have removed your question "Is it the best live album they did? Well that's for others to judge...." as we simply don't put things like that in articles these days. {And anyway it wasn't IMHO, that was Greasy Truckers Party)
I saw "Son of Man" last month, with Deke Leonard, George Jones (Micky's son) and Bob Richards (who filled in on AC/DCs videos for their latest album), who were also in Man for some years - all the old numbers and a few new ones - brilliant - Arjayay (talk) 18:50, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

That pesky Guns N' Roses article

Hi, Arjayay. I just wanted to follow up with you to see whether you were going to follow up at Talk:Guns N' Roses; I found several "dead-tree" sources a while back, but so far only one person on the "are" side has responded to what I found and so I'm reluctant to presume consensus based on several people on the "is" side not having changed their minds. If you're tired of the issue and don't wish to comment further, that's fine and I'll seek follow-up comment from someone else. I'm coming to you first because it was your idea to use print references. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 19:31, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi TheLongTone - thanks for your help there - I had to stop, to avoid breaking 3RR (must warn them about that)
To answer your question:-
Because they get paid by the word? - oh no - they are called PR "executives" aren't they
Because they think it is clever, but have never read The Emperor's New Clothes, and wouldn't know an "aspect" from an "apex" even if they were kicked in one and went over the other.
It was so blatant - as my first edit summary - an article (and editor) to keep an eye on - Arjayay (talk) 17:22, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
I forgot to add my usual description of Estate Agents as "second-hand toilet salesman" - This usually confuses them, so they ask why?
"Well, every property you sell has a toilet, and most of the properties are not new, so you are selling second-hand toilets" - Arjayay (talk) 19:52, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Associated Television

Hi, you have reverted my changes to this page twice, but I'm unclear why you feel these links deserve inclusion.

The link to www.atvnetworklimited.co.uk claims to be the 'official' website, It's not. It can't be, because ATV ceased to exist in the early 1980s. Google's cache suggests It is in fact the website belonging to the fan club of one programme formerly made by ATV - Crossroads. If it deserves a link (and that's a big if), then that link should be on the Crossroads article page, not this one. The link to www.atvtoday.co.uk is also not relevant. Again Google's cache suggests It is just a general media news website run by the same fan club. (As an aside, I'm still getting the 403 error, on multiple browsers - that alone suggests it might fail the WP:LINKSTOAVOID test.

Neither website is the 'official' ATV website, and as neither justifies inclusion in the article I'm going to remove them again. If you feel that they do deserve inclusion - maybe we should take it to the article's talk page? Cheers. DrFrench (talk) 23:55, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. International School of Samui

Hi. Thanks for reaching out to me. Am new to this. Started to contribute to the school page as I noticed the initial information provided was very brief. I contacted the school and received permission to expand the content. I mirrored the content using the Wikipedia pages of 2 other notable international schools in the region as a guideline. Will attempt to edit again soon keeping to guidelines you have provided. Thank you. LeoLeBlanc (talk) 07:27, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Prajput27
Please try to understand that Wikipedia is not at all interested in what you "know", or what you find-out, which are considered original research.
Wikipedia is only interested in what has already been published in reliable, independent, sources. All the information in Wikipedia articles should be verifiable, and references must be cited to show where the information came from, and where it can be checked – but that is NOT to say it should simply be copied – as that would be a copyright violation.
As it stands at the moment, the article has 7,825 bytes long and has 15 references, the version you last changed it to has 8410 bytes and only 6 references, so you are adding information without any sources (which is not allowed) and removing information with sources (which is also not allowed).
Furthermore, what you added appears to have been copied directly from this facebook page . Facebook (along with Twitter, Wikipedia, Gutenberg self-publishing, World Public Library and anything the public can edit) is not a reliable source. Whilst copying anything directly is a copyright violation, so there are 2 reasons why that cannot be added.
What you need are reliable sources, such as government publications, books or reliable newspapers (although many newspapers are not reliable). Forget everything you "know", only include what those reliable sources state, and cite the references (see Help:Referencing for beginners for how to do that. - Arjayay (talk) 13:35, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

If you want to have the page protected, you must apply at Requests for page protection, but at the moment the page is not being vandalized - except by you - so if any action is taken - it is likely to be to block you - Arjayay (talk) 12:50, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Secondly, you are trying everyone's patience by repeatedly making unsourced additions. and vandalizing the Vaddi page - it is not just me who has said that - your attempt to have the page protected merited the response "if there's any vandalizing being done, it's by you"
Please try to understand that Wikipedia is not at all interested in what you "know", or what you find-out, which are considered original research.
Wikipedia is only interested in what has already been published in reliable, independent, sources. All the information in Wikipedia articles should be verifiable, and references must be cited to show where the information came from, and where it can be checked – but that is NOT to say it should simply be copied – as that would be a copyright violation.
Shouting "THIS IS EXACT HISTORY THIS IS TRUE IT CAN BE IN WIKIPEDIA" proves absolutely nothing - I can shout "THE EARTH IS FLAT" but that proves nothing either.
If it is true, there must be verifiable reliable, independent, sources that you can cite to show that it is true - the fact that you are not citing such sources only suggests that it is not true. Please note that Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, Gutenberg self-publishing, World Public Library and anything else the public can edit are not reliable sources, nor are mirrors of such sites.
Finally, please do not refer to other pages - we know that many pages on Wikipedia are not ideal, but that is no reason to have more bad content - please see Wikipedia:Other stuff exists for why this argument is invalid. Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 13:57, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

AXELOS

Just to let you know. I'm not wishing to promote AXELOS at all. It is, simply, the place where the publications are owned - they were produced by the Office of Government Commerce, but sold, in part, to AXELOS.

The links were just to support the book references. If it's better, as you've now shown me, simply to cite the books, then I'm perfectly happy to do that.

The only reason I created the page 'AXELOS' was that I wasn't able to find its company page - later I discovered it was there, but called 'Axelos' - the company doesn't use the lower case.

Fustbariclation (talk) 05:32, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

OK Fustbariclation - Thanks for the explanation.
As stated at Template:Cite book The URL parameter in is for a "URL of an online location where the text of the publication can be found" not for a link to "booksellers, such as Amazon.com".
As for the capitals, as explained at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official" " - although Wikipedia breaks its own rules at eBay - Arjayay (talk) 08:29, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Sock puppet

Could you check User:MANI18 with User:WP MANIKHANTA?--Vin09 (talk) 10:43, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Vin09 :- using the The duck test I'm sure they are the same user - although only an admin with WP:CheckUser rights could confirm that.
However, so far, they have not done anything wrong - MANIKHANTA's last edit was at 13.19 on 13 December and all of MANI18's edits have been today.
As there is no overlap, and MANIKHANTA has never been blocked, they are not breaking any rules - people sometimes forget their password, or opt for a Clean start - although coming back to carry on the same edit warring is not a "clean-start"
If they start using both accounts, for edit warring, to get around the 3RR rule or comment/vote on proposals then they would be breaking the rules
I've added them to my watchlist - Arjayay (talk) 11:49, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Kathi's princely states

Hi, I am Jayveerwala. i have always a source for list of kathi's princely states. I have a book named "Vala ane kathi rajvansho" by najbhai harsoorbhai wala and all of kathi dynasty in please re-add the information, i will give a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jayveerwala (talkcontribs) 10:09, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Jayveerwala
Firstly, please put new posts at the bottom and please sign all posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which will add your signature and a timestamp.
I have no idea whether your book is a reliable source, when was it published? Most books published under British rule are not considered to be reliable sources.
Your edits also removed material which was referenced to a reliable source - please do not delete that again without discussion on the talk page.
You also added a list of "Notable people" - in Wikipedia, the simplest way to asses whether someone is notable is whether they already have their own Wikipedia article.
Please only include people with their own article and link to it, so it shows in blue. If they do not have their own article then Write the article first, before adding their names.
If you want to get the information back you can undo my edit, using the page history, but you must re-install the previously cited information and not add Non-notable people.

Hi Arjayay
Thank you for your kind information, As a new user i didn't know how to use talk page but i will remember it for next time.
Now i want to say you that my book didn't published in british time.it was published between 1980 to 1990.
So i believe that it is right reference.

Clan Innes

So for 0 reason all my edits with a %100 reliable source on Clan Innes was deleted by you! It took me ages to do that! I had to wait 4 days so i could upload an image! If you need reliable sources you could have looked at the two i added! I also know all the facts about clan Innes because i am a member of Clan Innes and i am also editing the page by what the Innes Clan Society leader Joeseph Innes has said, He knows more about the clan then anyone other than The Duke Of Roxburghe and the Lord Lyon! I request you undo the deletion! LakeBINNES (talk) 18:51, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

LakeBINNES - What "reliable sources" ? - you did not cite any sources whatsoever.
When you started the article (here) was 303 words (readable prose size) and was supported by 3 references, when you finished (here) it was 1240 words with exactly the same three references.
What you "know", and what the clan leader has said, are both totally unacceptable to Wikipedia, as neither can be verified, whilst the clan leader is not a independent source.
Everything you add should be supported by citations to published independent, reliable sources, or it is likely to be deleted. - Arjayay (talk) 19:08, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

I did give sources 2 books Ane Account Of The Familie Of Innes. And "The Inneses of Innes, A historical" "Ans account of the familie of innes" is even aproved by The Duke of Roxburghe the would-be Chief who knows more information on the clan than anyone considering his direct family line can be traced to the founder of the damn clan. And the other book was written by a person who has spent his whole life researching the clan! I had at the bottom of the page a box that said sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (LakeBINNES talkcontribs) 20:34, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

LakeBINNES
Please try to understand that we are not interested whether a document is "approved by The Duke of Roxburghe the would-be Chief" or not. Given the difficulty of anyone so closely connected having a neutral point of view, such an "approval" is probably of negative benefit.
As stated above, Wikipedia is only interested in what has been written by notable, independent authors, and published in reliable sources, such as books by major publishers, or newspapers/magazines with a reputation for fact-checking.
Turning to your two "sources":-
"Ane Account Of The Familie Of Innes" by Duncan Forbes of Culloden (1698) is such an ancient document, that unless it has been verified by a modern historian as being totally reliable, it could not be accepted. Documents of that era are almost never considered reliable, most having been written to promote a cause, or to please whoever sponsored them. Furthermore, the publisher, the Spalding Club was an antiquarian and text publication society, not a mainstream publisher.
"The Inneses of Innes: an historical perspective" by Joseph Innes - To quote the only book review I can find, here "This book is marked ‘Manuscript Copy’ and was privately published by the author in 2011 and is numbered ’15 of 20’". Self-published books are not acceptable as sources, as they contravene our policy of no original research. whilst this appears to be the only "publication" by Joseph Innes, who does not appear to be a notable historian, but a "family researcher, with an interest in the Innes family name in particular."
Neither book appears to be a reliable source, which Wikipedia requires, to support additions such as those you made at Clan Innes.
If you do find some reliable sources, please see WP:Referencing for beginners for how to cite references. - Arjayay (talk) 09:37, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Their is no %100 reliable information on the subject anyway! I dont even care anymore i cant be bothered with your rubbish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LakeBINNES (talkcontribs) 10:30, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

LakeBINNES - If the information is not 100% reliable, it definitely shouldn't be in the article - Arjayay (talk) 10:34, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Then i guess you have to delete the whole page then beacause the only thing confirmed on that page is the founder, The tartans (that you deleted), The badge, The historical seat, The fact the clan supported the Government during the 75 jacobite rising, The fact that everything i added was %100 confirmed by the lord lyon. But hey i no longer care. DONT reply, If you do you're wasting your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LakeBINNES (talkcontribs) 10:39, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

List of television stations in Pakistan

What if I provide the links to the red pages ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Turyalazamkhan (talkcontribs) 11:18, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Turyalazamkhan
Personally, as I explained at Talk:List of television stations in Pakistan I would like there to be no redlinks, but that would require other people to agree with me to achieve consensus.
Currently, you could add detailed references, to show they meet the notability requirements of extensive coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, not just their inclusion in a list.
However, it also needs to be "reasonable to expect an article could be forthcoming in the future", as no-one has written the articles so far, so that will be difficult to show - someone may think it is not reasonable, and delete them again.
Are you going to write the articles? if so, then please write the article first, and add them to the list after the article has been written. - Arjayay (talk) 11:48, 22 December 2015 (UTC).

Ok sure I will create the articles thank you

Sorry for the other day being a bit of a d**k, I was sick and did the page all day and was annoyed that i couldnt just go on it and add citations. Ive added some stuff that is %100 reliable to the page WITH citations. And im also going to add some stuff to do with tartan tonight and ill ad a citaiton to the Lord Lyon Tartan Register. Can i add to the page that someone has done some research and their is a chance "Berowlad" was the youngest son ofnthe "Erembalden Clan" of Flanders? Their is no %100 proof he was but research has show he could of been. Thanks, And again im sorry for being an ass LakeBINNES (talk) 13:32, 23 December 2015 (UTC) LakeBINNES (talk) 13:32, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi LakeBINNES - apology accepted. I understand it is annoying to see one's work deleted, but we try to ensure only reliable, verifiable, information is added.
I have not had a chance to check your sources (I'm suffering intermittent internet connection problems), but I note you are adding External links in the infobox, rather than references.
Please see WP:Referencing for beginners for how to cite references properly, and please change those external links into references - thanks - Arjayay (talk) 13:49, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for accepting and I will check it out now then re-add them. Thank you :) LakeBINNES (talk) 14:23, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

LakeBINNES as already explained above, you cannot use "The Inneses of Innes: an historical perspective", by Joseph Innes, as a reference, for any information, as it is not a reliable source, but original research, which is unacceptable - Arjayay (talk) 14:44, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Sorry I will remove it, I will try find another source for them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LakeBINNES (talkcontribs) 15:14, 23 December 2015 (UTC) I have removed the book and Allied clans, But kept the Rival Clan because many sources talk about their fued so i replaced his book with a book called The Culture of Protestantism in Early Modern Scotland that briefly mentions the "Bloody Vespers". Do i have to use citations for everything? Their is alot of information but I cant allways find the original source! LakeBINNES (talk) 15:39, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

LakeBINNES Every important fact, and anything likely to be questioned, needs to be referenced, so people can look it up for themselves and verify that the information is correct.
Please note you need to supply an author/year/publisher for "The Culture of Protestantism in Early Modern Scotland" and full access details of "Scottish Register of Tartans"
You have also closed "Scottish Register of Tartans" with <\ref> instead of </ref> which is why everything below it is duplicated, but half-size, - Arjayay (talk) 16:10, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

I cant really give "full access details" because its meant for the whole block of text because I got all my information from that website but different pages on the website unless i was to link every page i read. And I added a publisher and date, Its reliable and wasnt self-published. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LakeBINNES (talkcontribs) 16:31, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Ive done some research on the book by Duncan Forbes written in the 1600s, It was re-published and eddited by Cosmo Innes who was a historian in the mid 1800s would i be able to use it as a source? LakeBINNES (talk) 02:23, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

Clan Eliott and Clan Crozier

Hi Arjay, thanks for your help with the problem editor on the Clan Eliott page. Yesterday I reported his latest IP adress to the admin for edit warring and I did include his previous IP and usernames. Whether that is what resulted in the page being semi-protected I don't know, because the admin have not confirmed a result on the board where I reported him for edit warring here: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. Maybe you could help out with this discussion as well: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clan Crozier. The article in question has been created by the same problem editor on the Clan Eliott page. Cheers.QuintusPetillius (talk) 11:06, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi QuintusPetillius
The Semi-protection was requested by 2601:188:0:ABE6:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 as can be seen in the Requests for Page Protection history [here] - although I seconded the nomination.
The Lawismarkellot account and the series of IPs, all hail from Albuquerque, New Mexico, so there is no question as to their being the same person - not that one could mistake the "style".
The editors additions have also been deleted from Clan Armstrong [here] with an edit summary of "prev version was gibberish".
I first came across one of the IPs at Oulton, Norfolk (see 4 posts above). It looks like a case of Competence is required but they are difficult cases to "prove" - Arjayay (talk) 13:01, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Lawismarkellot; England is foreign to me; Can not pick relative or were their home is, but in Scotland from Gorrenberry, near where Infinis is planning a wind farm on ancestral lands next to Hermitage Castle. In a Danish, Yorkshire Riding which became Rimington, north of Pendle Hill, then of Northfolk, Oulton and Beckhall. Dan banished from both kingdoms in 1608, so family went to Tullykelter, Ulter, then indentured Cromwellian Scot to the American Plantation. It has been over 350 years since family lived in Ulster, 400 Years for Scotland, and 700 years for England. So England is foriegn, and going onto Danish-Germany they seem to understand me better.

Check; http://gorrenberry.com/proto-germanic-r-u106-haplogroup-dna-elwald-elliot/ May explain difficulties coming back to my homes with so much time being past. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.123.235.204 (talk) 04:37, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Article assessment

I this article assessment right? The user is modifying in lot of pages and adding GA to talk pages.--Vin09(talk) 03:24, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi Vin09
I don't know who bothers to read these categories on the talk page - I certainly don't.
Clearly the GA additions were totally wrong, but having stopped these, the editor still seems to be trying to "promote" the same articles,
To be fair, so far, the editor has not tried to promote their own articles, adding no assessment to Gitam School of Architecture or Alluri Sitarama Raju Cricket Stadium and only allocating "start class" to Eluru New bus station.
The standard required for B class at Wikipedia:WikiProject India/Assessment is remarkably low, only requiring "the majority of the material needed for a comprehensive article", "some references to reliable sources" and allowing "some gaps or missing elements or references, needs editing for language usage or clarity, balance of content, or contains other policy problems such as copyright, NPOV or No Original Research." This allows copyright problems to remain without affecting the quality rating, which IMHO is wrong.
In terms of importance cities are "Generally classed as mid to low importance" as are schools (!) - so I don't see that Vijayawada is over-rated as "B Class" but the "Top importance" is incorrect.
I had actually come across this user before, inserting oversized, and incorrectly uploaded, images - so they were already on my watchlist. - Arjayay (talk) 11:55, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
