Updating my ancient (a decade old) bio. In 2024, I'm a retired print journalist and university communications professional. Started editing Wikipedia when I managed social media (among other duties) at Stetson University (2005-2017). I updated the Stetson page with full disclosure to Wikipedia that I worked at Stetson at the time.

Worked 18 years for Daytona Beach News-Journal (1987-2005) in various roles including reporter, columnist, feature writer, section editor, layout editor / paginator.

Have an associate's degree in Advertising/Communications (FIT in NYC) and a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Religious Studies (Stetson). I earned the first in the disco days and the latter in 2014 as a midlife project. The B.A. took me eight years of part-time studies.

I have varied interests: reading, writing (novelist and nonfiction both traditionally and indie published; and blogger), sewing, fiber arts, social history, genealogy, gardening and back-to-the-land interests (was "organic" decades before it was mainstream and supported sustainability long before it was trendy).

When I started editing on here, I was fascinated with the seismic shift the world was undergoing in communicating/interacting/learning/sharing. Now I'm fascinated as I watch where AI will take us.
