I joined Wikipedia in January 2023, but didn't start editing until April of that year. I primarily write about video games from the 2010s and punk/emo music. I have also written about TV related stuff and video game characters. A former participant in WikiCup 2024 (eliminated in Round 3), and a current participant in WikiCup 2025. Steve is a player character from the 2011 video game Minecraft. Created by Markus "Notch" Persson, his design features a light blue top, a pair of blue trousers, shoes, as well as a goatee. Steve's design can be changed by the player, and over time, additional player characters were added to the game directly. He has been considered one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, and has appeared numerous times in other media. Most notably, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the character has been criticized for extreme fighting power compared to the rest of the cast, resulting in his ban from numerous tournaments.
