Submission declined on 6 February 2025 by Ktkvtsh (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

He is the founder and CEO of US Legal Groups[2], which encompasses several prominent law firms, and co-founder of Cardinal Concepts, a marketing firm specializing in legal services. He is currently admitted to practice law in five different states in the U.S., including Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
Early Life and Education
[edit]David was raised in the Midwest and pursued higher education on the East Coast. He completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University[3] and earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School[4]. During his time in Washington, D.C., he served as a law clerk in the United States Attorney’s Office and as a mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission[5]. He has also received certifications in and has practiced extensively in the areas of divorce mediation and collaborative divorce.
Legal Career
[edit]At the age of 26, David relocated to New Mexico, where he established New Mexico Legal Group, focusing on divorce and family law. Under his leadership, the firm expanded significantly, becoming the largest divorce practice in the state.
Building on this success, David took his marketing, operations and compensation models and expanded his practices into several other states, with those organizations all becoming best in class law firms. Here is a full list of David Crum’s official law firms:
- New Mexico Legal Group[6]: Launched in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with an additional office in Las Cruces, this firm reflects David’s original success as a growth focused entrepreneur.
- Nebraska Legal Group[7]: Established in Omaha, Nebraska, with additional offices in Lincoln, David quickly grew this firm into the largest and most talented divorce and family law firm in the state. This was one of David’s proudest achievements as he was born and raised in Nebraska and this firm proved that David’s vision was replicable.
- Colorado Legal Group[8]: Launched in Denver, Colorado, with additional offices in Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, this firm reflects David’s affinity and commitment to the state, which is now his hometown.
- Kansas Legal Group[9]: The most recent addition to US Legal Groups, serving clients in Kansas and Missouri.
Collectively, these firms have positioned US Legal Groups among the top ten largest family law firms in the United States.
Authorship
[edit]In 2016, David authored Confessions of a Divorce Assassin: What You Really Need to Know About Your Case, Your Kids, and Your Lawyer[10]. The book offers inside insights into the divorce process and has helped countless clients successfully navigate the divorce and family law process. The book was updated in 2025 to reflect the current state of divorce and family law in the United States., especially with regard to how the taxation of alimony changed under the first Trump administration.
Speaking Engagements and Coaching
[edit]David is a highly sought after speaker and has presented at many continuing legal education seminars and national conferences on the topics of law firm growth, operations and marketing. He has also coached attorney-owners on these same topics, providing them with the tools to significantly expand their own practices, profitability and financial freedom.
Entrepreneurship and Legal Marketing
[edit]After recognizing the lack of quality marketing agencies in the legal space, Crum co-founded Cardinal Concepts[11] with Brent Harkins[12]. This agency specializes in marketing strategies for divorce and family law attorneys, utilizing direct-response, paid advertising, search engine[13], social media, and email marketing[14] integrated with operational workflows.
Personal Life
[edit]Crum and his wife, Dr. Melissa Crum, owner of The Flower Remedy, are avid mountain climbers, having summited peaks such as Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mount Orizaba in Mexico. They also enjoy scuba diving and international travel whenever possible.
