Chinese character(s) for xing?
[edit]I think including the Chinese character (or characters, if they differ in Traditional and Simplified) for xing in parenthesis would be a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't have any sources on this and, being familiar with Chinese characters only through Japanese, I cannot even attempt to guess. Does anybody know what it is? - The Chinese character is "性". Both Yang Zhu and Mencius incorporated the concept into their philosophies.--Theconsequentialist (talk) 12:31, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
- It's 性. Also, the Traditional is 楊朱學派. The.yangist (talk) 03:42, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]I've proposed merger for other articles. I am proposing it for this one too, into Yang Zhu.FourLights (talk) 16:30, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
Other possible Yangist documents
[edit]A.C. Graham in his Disputers of the Tao has argued that parts of the Chuang Tzu are Yangist teachings that were incorporated into that work. -- llywrch (talk) 23:23, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
