The statement: "In 2011, she made her first appearance in the United States since 1999, playing with Marcos Valle at Birdland in New York City..."
gives the wrong impression that she first appeared in USA in 1999; which is wrong, since she appeared in 1965 with Sergio Mendes live At El Matador, a Cabaret in San Francisco California, in the live recording called: In Person at El Matador
I don't think the phrase implies that at all, but feel free to add sourced information about earlier U.S. appearances. There is a lot to expand upon in this article. Valfontis (talk) 04:10, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
