an United States Secret Service agent

[edit]

should read "a United States Secret Service agent".89.69.82.3 (talk) 18:31, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Change Infobox - inappropriate

[edit]

It seems strange to have an infobox focused on "the gridiron" when the accompanying image and what Mroz was known for had to do with his Secret Service work and achievements. "Position - End;" very strange. He didn't have a career as an end but as a law enforcement agent.Parkwells (talk) 21:52, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

assassination attempt inconsistencies

[edit]

The account of the Truman assassination attempt here is different from the one in that article. In particular, that article ascribes the shooting of Torresola to Coffelt while this one ascribes it to Floyd Boring, and that one makes no mention of Mroz or his shooting of Collazo in the chest - it does say that Collazo was shot in the chest by Davidson and was shot in the head and arm by someone unspecified. This differences are substantial enough to be contradictory rather than just a difference in emphasis; someone with more background than me should probably try to align them on a common correct version.

The official secret service history is cited in the Mroz article. It (and several other sources cited in the Mroz article) credits Mroz with the shooting. Mroz and Boring were both decorated for their roles in thwarting the assassination attempt. Cbl62 (talk) 04:49, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
