Yes, we have taken some details from Nilacharal and also added the link in the 'External links' section. --M.arunprasad 06:31, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article badly needs an update to include Vijayakanth's foray into politics, controversies surrounding his marriage hall in Chennai etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.134.136.2 (talk) 21:30, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Propaganda

[edit]

Most of the things here are not meant for informative purposes. They seem like propaganda. It just goes to show how cheap some people can get blowing the trumpets about the donations they made. It is sickening and incorrigible that some people can stoop down to such low levels.

It is amazing that these things started happening just before the Tamil Nadu state Assembly elections in which Mr. Vijaykanth is contesting.

Someone had added this "beating up one of his own candidates. beating his won canditate is not true as the other side of the party did show the actor in a darker side. they telecasted the video tabe with sounds added so that it will look like he is beating up his own canditate." without citing any refernce. I think can be deemed propoganda and cleaned up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.180.45.126 (talk) 19:39, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stunts

[edit]

Could any one include outrageous action scenes that characterize many of his movies (like him conking off equipment meant to electrocute him in Narasimma or a bullet rebounding from him and hitting the villain in a movie.

This is too much. Why you people always talk about his stunts?

You can very well add his stunts in Trivia section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Parthi4u (talkcontribs) 20:56, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy on Doctorate Awarded

[edit]

The Doctorate awarded to Captain sir is is a scam degree. The founder of this IICM institute refers to himself as "Patriarch Rev" John and IICM has a gmail id as the primary ID of correspondence to show for!!! Further IICM is supposedly accredited by World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions which in itself is a dubious institution as per the Wikipedia references that has the GAAP (USA Government body) references. So in all probability our Captain has been conned into this degree. He needs to avoid exibition of this fakey degree in his posters until he gets it from reputed institutes in India itself.

Deletions

[edit]

@Jim1138: This, at least, seems like a valid deletion. The source mentions nothing about the material it's used as a reference for. --NeilN talk to me 05:40, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@NeilN: Thanks. Undid my own edit. Jim1138 (talk) 05:55, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I also haven't found a decent source for the name. The IP/new editor, while editing clumsily, may have a point. Cyphoidbomb, you undid the last round of deletions. Shall the three of us (pinging Jim1138) try to separate the wheat from the chaff? Sharvin Rajkumar, please also chime in here. --NeilN talk to me 06:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

One of the things that is going on is the removal by Sharvin Rajkumar of this reference[1] showing that Vijayakanth is a member of the (or a?) Naidu caste. There are BLP issues here. Do we include information which is reliable, arguably defamatory, and arguably irrelevant? I certainly don't understand caste issues well enough to judge.
