Major revision &removal of copyvio

[edit]

I have edited this article to provide further references and wikilinks - but found most of it to be a direct copy & paste from History of Taunton Castle in Somerset By Charles Oman I have tried to reword & remove the direct copies - but if anyone finds any more please edit them.— Rod talk 12:23, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A few changes

[edit]

Half the "Anglo-Saxon origins" section was about the Middle Ages, the "Middle ages and civil war" had almost nothing about the Middle Ages but a lot about the Tudor and Stuart eras, and the bit about Judge Geoeffries was put before the Civil War.

I've re-organized those two sections into three: "Anglo-Saxon origins", "Medieval and Tudor eras", and "Stuart era and Civil War", and put the Monmouth Rebellion in the corect chronological order. Wardog (talk) 14:36, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Further changes (official)

[edit]

We have made a few amends to the page, mainly to state that the Museum of Somerset is now open. We will likely to continue to add to this page. Somerset Heritage Service. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Somerset Heritage (talkcontribs) 11:35, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits, however I note you removed the listed building status and a reference to Heritage Lottery Fund which I have put back as I think they will be of interest to readers.— Rod talk 12:03, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
