Fair use rationale for Image:Sunair.gif

[edit]

Image:Sunair.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Birmingham?

[edit]

Not confirmed by Gothenburg Landvetter, Sun Air of Scandinavia or Birmingham Airport that they are taking on GOT-BHX route. Can anybody confirm? 86.170.47.44 (talk) 07:59, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sun-Air of ScandinaviaSUN-AIR of Scandinavia – The airline is legally incorporated as "SUN-AIR" with all capital letters and always writes itself that way as seen on their website sun-air.dk. SUN-AIR of Scandinavia is currently an unnecessary redirect. – 46.244.147.79 (talk) 10:44, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 16:47, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, cited the wrong policy! Corrected above. Sorry for any confusion. And oppose. --BDD (talk) 22:21, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tentative Support Oppose; Capitalisation due to common usage has been used as a precedent before, for example: bell hooks is a non-capitalized name due to WP:COMMONNAME overriding MOS:CT. There is also MOS:ALLCAPS that doesn't seem to help at all with this particular case. Also MOS:Capital_Letters_Trademarks that seems to support the use of all caps. Personally I'd err on the side of WP:COMMONNAME and Ignore all the rules on capitalisation, as they aren't very clear about this type of example anyway and from a quick search it seems that the original poster is right that this company is always referred to in all caps even by other news sources, probably to help differentiate themselves from the multitude of other Sunair, Sun Air, and Sun-Air companies around the globe.
double oops, I read MOS:TM wrong... as per MOS:TM:
avoid: TIME, KISS, ASUS
instead, use: Time, Kiss, Asus
