[edit]

Actor Suman's long hiatus from acting was caused by his conviction on charges that he made/acted in o movies in Tamil Nadu. He spent some time in jail. I am not able to find references to his conviction, so I am not adding this info to the main article. If anyone has proper references, please add the reason for his long absence from the movies. Very few movie actors get convicted in India. It is a very unique case of a rich kid from a well to do family, actually being convicted and sent to jail in India.

Keep the entry on Suman

[edit]

Suman is very unique among the movie actors of Tamil Nadu. He was convicted and jailed for making o movies. I would not make such a serious negative remark without proper verifyable reference. But the fact is common knowledge among the older people (born before 1970) in Tamil Nadu. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.77.105.4 (talk) 12:38:32, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

Suman - mistaken identity

[edit]

Actor Suman, who was born on 28 August 1959 is still alive. But the Wikipedia article has today indicated his date of death (in his biographical article) as today, 7 September, 2012, which is a mistake. This is due to a mistake and misinterpretation of the fact. Actually, the person who died today is SUMAN, the second son of Ch. Ramoji Rao, Newspaper / Media Baron (EENADU / ETV) and Ramoji Group of Companies Owner, including Ramoji Film City, Margadarsi Chit Funds etc. This has been duly corrected and edited by me now. --68.193.2.168 (talk) 15:25, 7 September 2012 (UTC). Mangalore is in Karnataka State on the West Coast, and the town is NOT near Nellore in A.P. This was mentioned in the earlier version of the biographical article of Suman (actor), which has been duly corrected by deleting the erroneous portion. Also, shocked to note the mistaken identity mentioned above. --68.193.2.168 (talk) 15:30, 7 September 2012 (UTC)............[reply]

Wrong Birth Place Corrected

[edit]

His birthplace was earlier entered - Mangaluru, but actually by his own interview, he was born in Chennai (then Madras). Have given two references for the same, one is a YouTube video of his interview in Tulu language. If YouTube is not appropriate source for the same, could some experienced editor correct it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kateelkshetra (talkcontribs) 18:49, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article has copyright violations going back to 7 March 2023, at least, and perhaps further. I have requested that versions from that date be deleted. When that is done, I will run another copyright violation analysis to determine if there is remaining copyright violations. It appears that there is also significant overlap between the Wikipedia article and https://gobest.in/2020/suman.html. However, the gobest.in web page may have copied from Wikipedia.

Am requesting more revision deletions as the previous request did not properly cover all of the revisions where the violation was reintroduced twice more.
