Battle of Caulk's Field

On the article for Battle of Caulk's Field, it states that Sir Peter Parker was killed instantly of a head-shot. However, on this article, it states that he died during the battle of bleeding from the femoral artery. Could someone figure out which version of this is correct? Thanks.
