"This day is most favorable for the married Hindu women whose husbands are alive." So what happens if the husband has passed away? Peasreach77 (talk) 07:23, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Those women do not celebrate this day. 202.3.77.167 (talk) 17:07, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to "Savitri Vrata"

[edit]

The transliteration of व as B is a very regional one, pertaining to West Bengal region, due to the Bangla language not having a differentiation between व and ब. A more common, and phonetically correct transliteration (as per several Devanagari transliteration schemes such as IAST, ITRANS, VELTHUIS, SLP1, HK) of "व्रत" is "Vrata", not "Brata", thus, the title should be modified to that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hrishikeshrt (talkcontribs) 17:16, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
