Article cleanup

As Wikipedia autobiographies go, this one was pretty clean but still it has needed the benefit of a little neutral attention. In that regard I've removed things like an upcoming book per WP:Crystal and WP:Promotion, unsourced honors like Order of the Coif at UM, and one of the three complete listings of the subject's books, which were excessive in an article of this short length. It still reads a bit like a publisher's bio blurb and I may tweak it a bit more (I think the autobio template should stay for now) but it's improved. "National bestseller"

I don't mean to be pedantic but if we're going to call a book a "national best seller" it needs a better source than the bookcover. The best I could find was a #8 Bay Area ranking in the SF Chronicle, which I'm adding to the text. I followed the supplied Random House link and searched related tabs but found nothing about the book's sales or its appearance on any list. Please help me sort his out with a good link, because the assertion still appears to lack a source. JohnInDC (talk) 00:58, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I searched around a bit more generally via Google, and specifically searched the the NYT website, and was unable to come up with any support for "national" bestseller, so I've removed the adjective. JohnInDC (talk) 10:40, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The tag was placed in the article 7 years ago. It did look as though the article might have been created by the person it is about, but that was never certain. The creator of the article said that it wasn't her. Furthermore, and more importantly, there doesn't seem to be any problem in the article caused by being created or editing by the person it is about, even if that is true. In view of all those facts, I don't see any good reason why the tag should be there, so I shall remove it. JBW (talk) 21:06, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
