End of Alitalia services on LCY

[edit]

Hi everyone

I heard the news that Alitalia is expected to end its services from/to LCY to/from Milan Linate on 31 Decemebr 2020 due to slots permission expiration. Does it sounds to anyone of you? actually I was not able to find any source for this (of course no one is likely to announce/promote a service closure)

New map?

[edit]

The current map is correct to the most part, although it says that the Elizabeth line 'opens in 2019', whereas obviously it is opened now (Although it did open just a bit late, in May). Angusgtw (talk) 19:55, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Updated photo needed

[edit]

Anybody have a usable, current photo of the airport? The current lead photo is out-of-date, for example, it doesn't include the full length taxiway now in place. Guinness2702 (talk) 13:29, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Regional subsidiary carriers vs. mainline?

[edit]

The airlines and destinations section lists a variety of mainline airlines which appear to operate services at LCY using only regional subsidiary airlines. Is there some reason the main carrier is preferred here over the regional brand? As examples:

  • Lufthansa → Lufthansa CityLine
  • British → BA CityFlyer
