Tightwadded Article-Pruner

[edit]

Removal of Brian De Palma as spouse? It's well-documented, for god's sake. Go to IMDB and take a look at their kid at The Phantom Menace premiere! Check her bio anywhere, there it is. Is this a revert or a redact? Dunno, but this article-pruning is sad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.106.89.67 (talkcontribs) at 18:06, 8 June 2007

She produced Witch Hunt in 94 http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Witch_Hunt_%281994_film%29 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.26.92.107 (talk) 19:57, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gale Anne Hurd's updated biography & résumé

[edit]

Please update the biography and résumé on her page, as the information is outdated and sparse. Below is a link to her résumé on IMDB for reference as well as an already cited article that lists Oscar nominations and earned revenues.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005036/?ref_=sr_1 http://madeinatlantis.com/filmmakers/gale_anne_hurd_bio.htm

The page doesn't mention that she is on the Board of Governors for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, which is mentioned in the below article from Variety.

http://variety.com/2012/film/news/producing-the-unseen-1118059975/

The page doesn't mention that she has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is discussed in the article below (and evident by the picture on her page).

IMDb is not a reliable source for biographical information, and for all I can tell, neither is madeinatlantis.com - the latter looks like a blog without any editorial oversight to me.
Since Variety covers both the governorship and the Walk of Fame star (which, by the way, is prominently displayed in the infobox photo) and since it's a much higher-profile source than Hometown Pasadena (which didn't even give a year of publication), I went with Variety for both those facts. This page doesn't mention Gale's participation in the Produced By Conference this year. This Variety article from 2013 discusses how she is one of the featured speakers for her work on AMC's "The Walking Dead" http://variety.com/2013/film/news/j-j-abrams-gale-anne-hurd-mark-burnett-tom-cruise-set-for-pga-conference-1200329856/

This Variety article from 2012 details Gale's newest venture, Horizon, a show being produced for USA. http://variety.com/2012/tv/news/usa-gale-anne-hurd-team-for-horizon-1118063269/

Gale also owes a Wine Bistro in Pasadena which can be added to this page as a part of her resume outside of film. Details can be found in this Variety article from 2012. http://variety.com/2012/more/news/her-very-own-bistro-with-wine-on-the-menu-1118059977/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.40.19.113 (talk) 22:39, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image choice for main info box

[edit]

I replaced the main image with a nice photo of subject holding her star. Let's discus if anyone feels the prior image was better.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 14:23, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
