The Stand
[edit]I've added a section on this topic. My source for this on-going controversy is the book America's Pioneer Aces by James H. Farmer. It's a good read with some interesting information.

Flieger Abteiling 36
[edit]I think it has to be "Flieger Abteilung 36", which means "fighter group" or so, because there is no word "Abteiling" in German. The reference link doesn´t work either. Greetings from Germany (http://de.wiki.x.io/) --79.207.85.116 (talk) 15:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Biography
[edit]The last sentence in the biography does not make sense: "Lt Luke then shot down two of these D.VIIs and two balloons, thereby achieving his 13th official kill - a Halberstadt C type observation plane of 'Flieger Abteilung' 36."
If he was engaged with D.VII's, he may have subsequently downed a Halberstadt, but by downing two D.VII's he wouldn't thereby achive a victory over a Halberstadt since these are two different Aircraft types. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.25.16.250 (talk) 14:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Honors?
[edit]Being the basis of a character in an EXCEEDINGLY non-historically accurate film like Flyboys is NOT an honor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:305C:80E0:DDC1:FE7E:FB71:692A (talk) 20:14, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Update to Sky Harbor SPAD XIII Caption
[edit]The SPAD XIII on display at Sky Harbor is now at the 44th Street Station instead of Terminal 3. I've updated the image caption to state this, but I feel the caption is a bit wordy. If someone better at writing captions wants to update it, please do. Cmdrraimus (talk) 06:20, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
