Contested deletion

[edit]

It is not Wikipedia copying from [1], it is vice versa. The site copies Kanhopatra, Surdas, Chokhamela etc. with the reference signs like [1]. The message was left on User talk:Anthony Bradbury, who had deleted the article. --Redtigerxyz Talk 12:23, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This was my mistake. I patrol new pages for copyright violations, due in large part to this sort of issues. I'm not sure how I got to this page as it was obviously made years before the pages I meant to patrol. I'm guessing I didn't see that I was redirected from a new article to this article. Sorry for the confusion. OlYeller21Talktome 16:27, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion/restoration

[edit]

I deleted this article on the basis of its being a copyright violation; I have restored it on being advised that this article is original, and that the article whose copyright appeared to be broken is in fact derived from the wikipedia article. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:23, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced addition

[edit]

@Sidhu150: I'm offering you the opportunity to improve your repeated addition of poorly written, unsourced info diff:

Eknath was a person having high creative talent ever born in Maharashtra that century. He had to do literary work after realizing the critical condition of Maharashtra where the Marathi language was supplanted, on the other hand, the Brahmins of Sanskrit exponents used to oppose the Mother tongue Marathi so he decided to take the initiative awaking the people with the instrumentality of Marathi.

First things first: have you got a WP:RS? Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 08:04, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed your text into:

Eknath was a creative person, who utilized his literary skills to compose religious work in vernacular Marathi language, promoting local devotional religious practice, and countering the suppressive and alienating process of Sanskritization propagated by the elite Brahmins.
