Contested deletion

[edit]

I don't think this article should not be speedily deleted, as it concerns a well-established researcher with international recognition, as witnessed by the invitation to the International congress. I agree that in its present state the page does not do completely justify these claims, and I am not going to strongly object if it is deleted based on this (I will keep a version in my sandbox and try to make it more substantive for later submission), but I believe without qualms that the subject of the article is entirely deserving of a Wikipedia entry per WP:NACADEMIC jraimbau (talk) 12:13, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Before resubmitting the draft I included mentions of a prize from the French Academy and an editorship of an important international journal. I also developed the section on her research, including mention of an influential book. This should be sufficient to establish notability; the article is not perfect (it lacks her date of birth and details about her thesis, which I might add later if I manage to locate a source for them) but in my opinion it is of sufficient level for inclusion in Wikipedia. jraimbau (talk) 22:26, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It would be helpful to find a source documenting her editorship. Also (although this should be unrelated to notability) our article doesn't say anything about her education; usually we include that for academics. —David Eppstein (talk) 22:38, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Cambridge JIMJ website was down when I looked; there is a source on the IMJ page but I'd like to complement it. I did not find any information about her studies online (in particular the math genealogy project does not list her); I might ask people at IMJ by email and add the information there myself if there is no other source (a thesis manuscript would be one but it is likely to be hard to find). jraimbau (talk) 23:04, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
