Did Sir Fitzroy outlive his sons?
[edit]If Sir Fitzroy Donald Maclean died on 22 November 1936, and his son Charles Lachlan Maclean died on 27 Aug 1958 (as outlined on the wiki article for the former), how is it possible that "Sir Fitzroy had outlived his sons"?? Cornthwaite (talk) 16:38, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- It does not say that Charles Lachlan Maclean was the son of Sir Fitzroy. He was his grandson, so the article is correct.--Bduke (Discussion) 23:26, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- No - Charles Lachlan Maclean ("CLM") was an uncle to the subject of this article, Charles Hector Fitzroy Maclean ("CHFM"). CHFM was indeed a grandson of Sir Fitzroy Donald Maclean ("FDM"); but, since according to the Wiki article on FDM ( http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Sir_Fitzroy_Maclean,_10th_Baronet), FDM died in 1926 while CLM died in 1958, FDM did NOT outlive his sons. - It seems you are correct. CLM was the second son. The title went to the son of the first son. -Bduke (Discussion) 22:02, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
