Conflated two different composers?

[edit]

I suspect someone has confused Carlota Ferrari da Lodi (1837 - 1907) with Carlotta Ferrari (1975 -). The former wrote opera, and the latter has written a huge volume of organ music (there's enough on IMSLP to sink J S Bach), and choral works. The article states that Ferrari da Lodi was an "expert in canon" but this is not likely in operatic works, although I can only find one score of hers which is not contrapuntal at all. Organ and choral music however often uses counterpoint extensively and the first score of the modern composer's work I looked at was festooned with it. Perhaps someone more knowldgeable than I would like to have a look? 2A00:23C6:DC98:E201:39F7:D1CC:3FED:498E (talk) 01:24, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
