Burning River Buckets Page

[edit]

I own the Burning River Buckets. Why is it that every time I make a change to the page, someone changes things back. How can I make the correct edits to the page and everyone leaves it alone! Thank you for your help. C.A. Buttons (talk) 18:56, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate any help that I can get! Thank you in advance C.A. Buttons (talk) 19:07, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I answered this on my talk page when you asked there. I'll repeat that answer here:
The primary issue with your edits so far is that Wikipedia relies on material sourced to published independent reliable sources. As the owner of the team, you aren't independent of this subject, nor have you cited anything published.
However, a larger issue is your close relationship to this subject which runs afoul of Wikipedia's confict of interest rules. Editors with a conflict under this policy are strongly discouraged from directly editting such articles; they are instead encouraged to suggest edits on the article's talk page by using the {{edit COI}} template.
I'm not experienced at giving detailed advice on these subjects. A good place to ask questions is Wikipedia:Teahouse. Reviewing the policies at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Reliable sources will probably be helpful, too.

Also, it hasn't helped you any that you have never used edit summaries to explain the changes you've made. -- Pemilligan (talk) 00:30, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
