Drug Abuse

[edit]
Collapsed under Talk Page Guidelines. See WP:NOT
I'm not surprised that this article is locked. The Chinese tries very hard to turn this man into a "national" legend and a myth. The truth about his death has been well known to many Asians for quite some time, it was big news at the time especially in Taiwan. He was having an affair with Betty Ting Pei and doing drugs. None of this was covered up in Taiwan and other Asian sources, Betty Ting Pei became a national embarrassment overnight.

China, along with western media, tried to cover this up with misinformation and propaganda for decades, but in 2021 evidence surfaced in the form of 40 letters from Bruce Lee to his colleagues and friends about his spiral drug use. In these letters it detailed his abuse of acid, pot, and cocaine.

See, Wikipedia is like that Panera Bread experiment on a restaurant where people pay what they want. You base it on people's intentions, but without recognizing human beings are dishonest, egotistical, and corrupt. This is why Wiki cannot be used as any form of real source. Even such an article has political agenda now and truth is suppressed. Exchange of free idea is a joke in a world of tyrants.

Under Books

[edit]

There is a book called Wing Chun Kung Fu, Chinese Art of self defence. Bruce lee is listed as technical editor on the cover of the book. The book is written by James Yimm Lee. put out in 1972. maybe this should be added to under books.````

TOTAL VANDALISM

[edit]

The first part of this article was simply perfect. Perfect language. Perfect content.

What did happen? It's been deleted. Now it's a 'Jeet Kune Do' page hardcopy.

Please check it out: https://en.m.wiki.x.io/wiki/Jeet_Kune_Do

And please do not write Li instead of Lee! Thanks. 83.223.191.9 (talk) 21:06, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

URGENT ATTENTION

[edit]

"He was the founder of Jeet Kune Do (The way of the intercepting fist), a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines that is often credited with paving the way for Modern Mixed martial arts (MMA). Lee is considered by commentators, critics, media, and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century who bridged the gap between East and West. He is credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films."

This amazing paragraph has been deleted. Why? It was AN EXPERT who wrote it. There was a linked source. 83.223.191.9 (talk) 21:18, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement suggestions

[edit]

Please correct misspelled words like Li (Lee).

The sentence which has been copy-pasted from Jeet Kune Do page must be reverted.

Thanks once again. Letícia 83.223.191.9 (talk) 07:01, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SAVE BRUCE LEE PAGE FROM UNCONTROLLED VANDALISM!

[edit]

Here it is the original first paragraph version, old but gold one. The original text (vandalised on December 1, 2024) has been edited by experts who have already retired, people who really met Bruce Lee, who shared an extensive biography you find on the bottom of this page. Sorry, amateurs cannot disrespect and replace experts this way. Only Jeet Kune Do (then)? How about MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) now? Only 1970s? How about the 1980s, the 20th century and the future? Only Hong Kong and United States? How about the rest of the world nowadays? I PAY ATTENTION.

hello, i noticed a typo. bruce lee died at 32, and this is mentioned correctly twice in the article, however- one mention lists his date of death at 33, and this is incorrect. would like to change. thank you. 8ballfracture (talk) 18:45, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done Thanks. Looks like Britannica forgot to account for the fact he died before his birth day. Skynxnex (talk) 22:41, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Manual of style & citation issues

[edit]

I have noticed several problems with the General bibliography section.

  1. There are external links in this section. As per WP:ELPOINTS, include appropriate external links in an "External links" section at the end of the article.
  2. As per MOS:FURTHER, there are clearly book & journal citations that are not used as reference citations that belong in a Further reading section.
  3. As per MOS:BIB, "Bibliography" is discouraged because it is not clear whether it is limited to the works of the subject of the article. This section should have a better name, such as Sources or Works cited.
  4. There are many shortened footnotes that are correct, but recently some have been added that do not link to the full citations.

I hope to spend some time over the next couple of days working to rectify this. Peaceray (talk) 22:41, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
