minor corrections

[edit]

In this recent article - [1] - Andrew says he speaks 8 languages now, not 9 (he didn't have anyone to speak Romanian with and forgot the language). In this article - [2] - from the year 2000, he mentions his "sweetheart of the last two years"; that would presumably not be Raissa Danilova since they married in 1992, so I'm replacing "Spouse(s): Raissa Danilova (29 February 1992 - present)" with "Spouse(s): Raissa Danilova (29 February 1992 - ?)" Ancestary

[edit]

What is his ancestary? I'm guessing Divoff is Eastern European, but from which country were his ancestors?

The Blacklist

[edit]

There is a notable lack of "The Blacklist" mentions. I believe he first appeared season 2 and featured in the most recent episode of The Blacklist, a season three episode. I am having some computer issues at the moment so do not have full functions but if someone could search for each episode he appeared in I would be grateful. He plays "Karakurt" and I imagine he will be staying on until the end of season three, at the least, so this role will remain very relevant to his profile. Stuntman?

[edit]

In multiple places within the current Wikipedia article, Andrew Divoff is described as an "actor and stuntman." Although I do recall him stating in interviews that he often performs his own stunts (I will find the citation before adding to his bio), he is not credited on IMDb or elsewhere as a stuntman, and has not done stunts as a stand-in for other actors. Does the fact that he sometimes does his own stunts merit his classification as a "stuntman"?

Connected Contributor notice

[edit]

Hello,

I am relatively new to Wikipedia and am not sure whether I am formatting this notice properly. I am declaring myself a connected contributor because I have met Andrew Divoff in person at multiple horror film conventions and charity events since 2014, have interviewed him for my horror film/news website and podcast, and have volunteered at three of his charity fundraisers (also covered on my website). It is important to clarify that Mr. Divoff is not paying me to make changes to this Wikipedia article, and has not requested that I make changes.

As someone who was first interested in Divoff's work as a fan, I noticed several inaccuracies in the existing article, as well as incomplete or poorly-sourced information. Because Divoff has provided a greater number of interviews containing biographical information in the past few years, I want to update this page with that information.

I have a positive opinion on Mr. Divoff based on my interactions with him, but to mitigate my own bias, I am only citing articles and interviews I did not create. Another editor may cite my own articles if appropriate. I am also favoring interviews because they are more likely to conform to Wikipedia's policies regarding biographies of living persons.

Although I have a background in academic research, I am requesting that other editors to check my sources and verify that my contributions are accurate and free of bias.

Andrew Divoff is the first of several horror film actors whom I have met and/or interviewed whose pages I wish to improve. There are several other additions I would like to make to this page, and appreciate any feedback from neutral editors.

Photo

[edit]

Any reason for the two copies of the same photo? Casual visitor with no particular interest in article, so perhaps someone more invested might want to look at this? Muleiolenimi (talk) 19:10, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
